What made you decide to study opera?

I was passionate about opera and loved to listen to different recordings. I started taking voice singing lessons and when I realized that I was progressing little by little, all I wanted was to sing like my favorite singers one day and perform in my favourite operas.

What are your career goals and how do you plan to achieve them?

I know that I’m not a young man anymore, but I believe my voice is healthy and I can now take on roles that were not available to me before. My goal is to continue to learn, prepare more repertoire, and go as far as I can. I don’t want to have any regrets.

What are you looking forward to during your time at ICAV?

I’m looking forward to perfecting my repertoire, discovering new roles, meeting new people and making connections with other musicians. Being able to tell your own story and share it is a vital part of the musical world.

What are your hopes for the future?

I plan to finish my doctorate, continue to learn and sing as often as I can.
