Founded in 1954, the Conservatoire d’art dramatique de Montréal is a higher education institution that offers training programs in the performing arts. Actors can hone their skills for theatre as well as film and television. Notable thespians like Raymond Bouchard (1970), Isabelle Blais (1997), Sophie Cadieux (2001), Catherine Trudeau (1999) and Jean-François Casabonne (1988) have all roamed the Conservatoire’s halls. You think you have what it takes to do this thrilling but back-breaking profession? You have until March to register!

Candidates must present two solo three-minute scenes (with readers) or two conjoined scenes totaling five minutes. The selection process consists of a series of two auditions, a boot camp and a final audition. Scenes taken from the international French-language theatre repertoire are admissible, as are scenes selected from published films or TV series.
