Appointments

The Gryphon Trio, comprising Annalee Patipatanakoon (violin), Roman Borys (cello) and James Parker (piano), has been appointed directors designate of Banff’s Classical Music Summer programs beginning in 2019-20 following the successful completion of the three-year tenure of co-artistic directors Claire Chase and Steven Schick. It’s a homecoming, as the trio met as students at Banff in the 1980s. The appointment will help build cultural bridges between Banff, Ottawa Chamberfest and the University of Toronto, where the Trio holds positions.
