J&#8217;ai trouv\u00e9 plus de d\u00e9tails dans ma musique.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\r\n<p>Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 le dernier des 12 finalistes \u00e0 jouer sur un dur\u00e9e de trois jours dans la salle de concert de la Philharmonie de Varsovie avec l&#8217;Orchestre philharmonique national sous la direction d&#8217;Andrzej Boreyko.<\/p>\r\n<p>Le processus d&#8217;\u00e9limination avait commenc\u00e9 en juillet avec une cohorte pr\u00e9liminaire de 151 pianistes sur un bassin de plus de 500 candidatures.<\/p>\r\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"BRUCE (XIAOYU) LIU \u2013 final round (18th Chopin Competition, Warsaw)\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/UcOjKXIR8Iw?feature=oembed\" width=\"702\" height=\"395\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\r\n<p>Ancien \u00e9l\u00e8ve de Richard Raymond au Conservatoire, Liu est connu des Montr\u00e9alais pour avoir remport\u00e9 le grand prix du Concours OSM Standard Life en 2012 \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e2ge prodigieusement tendre de 15 ans. Il a \u00e9galement acc\u00e9d\u00e9 \u00e0 la finale du Concours musical international de Montr\u00e9al en 2014 et remport\u00e9 le Prix d&#8217;Europe 2015, un prix annuel d\u00e9cern\u00e9 \u00e0 de jeunes musiciens ou chanteurs qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois prometteurs.<\/p>\r\n<p>Liu \u00e9tudie maintenant en priv\u00e9 avec <a href=\"https:\/\/myscena.org\/fr\/arthur-kaptainis\/dang-thai-son-une-vie-raffinee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dang Thai Son<\/a>, lui-m\u00eame ancien Montr\u00e9alais et m\u00e9daill\u00e9 d&#8217;or de l&#8217;\u00e9dition 1980 du Concours Chopin. Normalement organis\u00e9 tous les cinq ans, le concours de Varsovie a \u00e9t\u00e9 report\u00e9 en 2020 en raison de la pand\u00e9mie.<\/p>\r\n<p>Un autre qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois en lien avec Varsovie vaut la mention : Charles Richard-Hamelin, originaire de la r\u00e9gion de Lanaudi\u00e8re, a remport\u00e9 le deuxi\u00e8me prix de l&#8217;\u00e9dition 2015. Sa carri\u00e8re s&#8217;est acc\u00e9l\u00e9r\u00e9e cons\u00e9quemment depuis.<\/p>\r\n<p>Liu \u00e9tait en comp\u00e9tition contre un autre finaliste canadien, J J Jun Li Bui de Toronto, qui a termin\u00e9 sixi\u00e8me.<\/p>\r\n<p>Bien que le concours soit termin\u00e9, il reste trois concerts de gala, jeudi, vendredi et samedi, chacun \u00e0 partir de 13\u00a0h HNE. Nine pianist selected the Concerto in E minor Op. 11, and the remaining three \u2013\u00a0the Concerto in F minor Op. 21<\/p>\r\n<p>According to the Rules and Regulations of the Competition, only pianists born in 1990\u20132004 were eligible to participate. To do so, contestants were required to send their applications with a video recording of the 1st Stage programme by 1 December 2019. Having opened the call for applications, the Chopin Institute obtained\u00a0a record number of over 500 entries from the most distant corners of the world.<\/p>\r\n<p>The recordings submitted were used to winnow the artists and admit 164 of them to the Preliminaries. Finally, 151 pianists presented programmes set in the rules and regulations competing for admission to the competition proper before the Jury and the Warsaw audience. Of their number, the Jury admitted 87\u00a0to the main competition.<\/p>\r\n<p>Nine winners of major piano competitions worldwide secured themselves places in the October competition without the need to go through the Preliminaries. The most numerous group of participants were the Chinese,<\/p>\r\n<p>as the country was represented by no fewer than 22 artists. With 11 out of 16 pianists selected by the Preliminary Round Jury and five more qualified on the grounds of their achievements in other competitions, the second most numerous group were Poles. The Warsaw Philharmonic stage was also graced by 14 pianists from Japan, seven from South Korea, six from Italy, as well as representatives of Canada, Armenia, Chinese Taipei, Cuba, Latvia, Russia, Spain, Thailand, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Vietnam.<\/p>\r\n<h4>Live streams<\/h4>\r\n<p>Live streams from the 18th Chopin Competition reached the most distant corners of the world. Most music lovers followed the performances on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/c\/chopininstitute\">Chopin Institute\u2019s YouTube channel<\/a>, and the largest audiences gathered in Japan, South Korea, Poland, and the United States.<\/p>\r\n<p>Auditions of the Chopin Competition were also streamed live on Chopin Competition mobile app for <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/app\/chopin-competition-2020\/id1499789385\">iOS<\/a><\/p>\r\n<p>and <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=pl.nifc.chopincompetition2020\">Android<\/a>. You could also follow the contestants on the 18th Competition\u2019s official website <a href=\"https:\/\/chopin2020.pl\/en\/\">Chopin2020.pl<\/a> and in SmartTV app for Samsung televisions. The high quality of transmission made it possible for hundreds of thousands of people to participate in this musical festivity wherever in the world they reside.<\/p>\r\n<p>The Chopin Competition also found extensive resonance in the social media: content related to the event was published on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Narodowy-Instytut-Fryderyka-Chopina-1570915943228919\">Chopin Institute\u2019s Facebook <\/a>profi in six languages, and the Chinese Weibo attracted a record number of followers. Materials from the competition were also available on Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok.<\/p>\r\n<p>During the total of 15 days of auditions of the 18th\u00a0Chopin Competition, the pianists presented nearly 2000 interpretations of Chopin\u2019s works altogether. If you were to combine all that music into a single recital, it would last for nearly 100 hours without a single intermission.
