La violoniste anglaise Jennifer Pike a des anc\u00eatres polonais du c\u00f4t\u00e9 de sa m\u00e8re. En fouillant dans un magasin de musique \u00e0 Cracovie, elle est repartie avec des partitions inconnues et les a transform\u00e9es en deux parutions fascinantes.&#13;\n<\/p>&#13;\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-995793 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/myscena.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/polish-violin.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"350\" srcset=\"https:\/\/myscena.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/polish-violin.jpg 350w, https:\/\/myscena.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/polish-violin-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/myscena.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/polish-violin-100x100.jpg 100w, https:\/\/myscena.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/polish-violin-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Les compositeurs familiers pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s ici sont Karol Szymanowski et Gra\u017cyna Bacewicz, mais pas tels que nous les connaissons. La <em>Sonate pour violon et piano<\/em> de 1904 de Szymanowski a encore \u00e0 montrer l\u2019asp\u00e9rit\u00e9 qui le caract\u00e9rise habituellement, tandis que ses trois <em>Caprices de Paganini<\/em> de 1918 feraient des rappels parfaits s&#8217;ils n&#8217;\u00e9taient pas si impr\u00e9gn\u00e9s de m\u00e9lancolie. Tout ce que nous entendons de l&#8217;aust\u00e8re Bacewicz est un caprice pour violon solo de 1949 dans lequel elle semble convoiter des mondes perdus \u2212 une contemplation sombre et palpitante.<\/p>\n<p>La d\u00e9couverte majeure sur cet album est une compositrice appel\u00e9e \u00ab Poldowski \u00bb. C\u2019est l&#8217;un des trois noms qu&#8217;elle a utilis\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00e9e Ir\u00e8ne R\u00e9gine Wieniawska, fille du sensationnel violoniste juif Henryk Wieniawski qui mourut quand elle \u00e9tait enfant, elle se maria dans la petite aristocratie anglaise et devint connue sous le nom de Lady Irene Dean Paul. Sous un nom ou un autre, elle a connu une carri\u00e8re d&#8217;artiste de concert jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 sa mort, \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e2ge de 52 ans, en 1932.<\/p>\n<p>Elle a beaucoup compos\u00e9 sous le nom de Poldowski et sa <em>Sonate en r\u00e9 mineur<\/em> de 1912 vaut bien une \u00e9coute. \u00c9crite \u00e0 Bruxelles, o\u00f9 elle a d\u00e9m\u00e9nag\u00e9 apr\u00e8s un divorce, elle a quelque chose de la sonate de C\u00e9sar Franck jou\u00e9e par un personnage miteux de Simenon lors d&#8217;une nuit de brouillard dans la Manche. L&#8217;atmosph\u00e8re est si \u00e9paisse que vous auriez besoin d&#8217;un couteau \u00e0 charcuterie pour la fendre. Pike joue avec une sensibilit\u00e9 cin\u00e9matographique, ne manquant qu&#8217;une bouff\u00e9e de fum\u00e9e de la pipe de Maigret. Petr Limonov est l&#8217;accompagnateur habile. Le son est aussi lucide que l&#8217;ambiance est trouble.
