Le quatri\u00e8me concerto pour piano a l\u2019\u00e9lan p\u00e2m\u00e9 des danses de salon des ann\u00e9es 1930, tandis que le concerto pour violon et piano \u00e9voque le genre de rythmes respectables qui furent d\u00e9mod\u00e9s la semaine o\u00f9 les Rolling Stones sont n\u00e9s. \u00c9couter Kapoustine en 2021 est un acte de nostalgie, un geste de d\u00e9fi face aux diktats de la mode. \u00c9crivant contre sa propre \u00e9poque, il touche en quelque sorte \u00e0 nos m\u00e9contentements actuels.<\/p>\n<p>Un article paru dans le <em>New York Times<\/em> ce mois-ci \u2013 sur la c\u00e9l\u00e9brit\u00e9 au-del\u00e0 des r\u00eaves d&#8217;autres compositeurs \u00e9cras\u00e9s par les Sovi\u00e9tiques \u2013 apporte un fragment d&#8217;attention. Le pr\u00e9sent enregistrement est le genre d&#8217;album que vous voudriez partager avec vos amis, en les mettant au d\u00e9fi de deviner l&#8217;origine du compositeur. Je vous parie deux Lang Lang contre une cr\u00e8me glac\u00e9e que personne ne dira Moscou.<\/p>\n<p>Frank Dupree donne un bon rythme et quelques notes blues au concerto pour piano tandis que Rosanne Philippens est brillamment fantaisiste au violon. Case Scaglione dirige le bel Orchestre de chambre de Wurtemberg. Ce que je ne comprends pas, c&#8217;est que le pianiste Dupree re\u00e7oive \u00e9norm\u00e9ment plus de cr\u00e9dit que le violoniste ou le chef, en plus de faire la couverture de l\u2019album.
