Dans ce r\u00e9cital, Emiliano Gonzalez Toro, t\u00e9nor suisse d\u2019origine chilienne, combine des monodies m\u00e9lancoliques et similaires de Rasi avec une musique du genre qu\u2019il aurait pu chanter, y compris des pi\u00e8ces de personnages notables comme Caccini, Monteverdi et Peri (Gesualdo est repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 par un solo de harpe sans distinction). Toro maintient son faible vibrato avec plus d\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9gance que certains chanteurs baroques et l\u2019ensemble instrumental de trois pi\u00e8ces offre un soutien d\u00e9licat. Cet enregistrement fonctionne bien pour une \u00e9coute rapproch\u00e9e ou comme musique de fond gracieuse. Les notes du livret, difficiles \u00e0 lire, se composent d\u2019interminables biographies et entrevues qui ne sont pas toujours faciles \u00e0 concilier avec les 17 titres. Les caract\u00e8res des textes sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement tr\u00e8s petits.
