Il devrait jouer le r\u00f4le de Bartley dans la production de l&#8217;Op\u00e9ra de Montr\u00e9al de <em>Riders to the Sea<\/em> et le r\u00f4le-titre de Don Giovanni avec le Highlands Opera Studio en ao\u00fbt 2021.\u00a0La voix retentissante de Geoffrey lui a valu le succ\u00e8s dans les concours. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 laur\u00e9at du district de l&#8217;Ouest canadien aux auditions du Metropolitan Opera National Council en 2019 et 2015 et laur\u00e9at du prix platine du premier Concours international de musique de Vancouver et du concours Canadian Opera Company Centre Stage 2016.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h4><b>Quand avez-vous commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 faire de la musique\u00a0?\u00a0<\/b><\/h4>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">J&#8217;ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00e9tudier le violoncelle \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e2ge de 8 ans et j&#8217;ai continu\u00e9 les cours particuliers jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 la fin du secondaire. Vers 16 ans, j&#8217;ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 chanter dans des com\u00e9dies musicales. Je n&#8217;ai commenc\u00e9 aucune \u00e9tude de chant s\u00e9rieuse avant l&#8217;universit\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<h4><b>Qu&#8217;est-ce qui vous a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 \u00e0 poursuivre des \u00e9tudes d&#8217;op\u00e9ra\u00a0?\u00a0<\/b><\/h4>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En fait, j&#8217;ai commenc\u00e9 en sciences \u00e0 l&#8217;Universit\u00e9 de la Colombie-Britannique, mais j&#8217;ai rapidement vu que je passais tout mon temps dans le b\u00e2timent de musique. J&#8217;ai d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de commencer \u00e0 suivre des cours de chant et j&#8217;ai finalement r\u00e9ussi une audition pour faire partie du programme d&#8217;op\u00e9ra r\u00e9put\u00e9 de l&#8217;UCB.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<h4><b>Comment avez-vous gard\u00e9 votre voix en forme pendant la pand\u00e9mie\u00a0?\u00a0<\/b><\/h4>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">J&#8217;ai eu beaucoup de chance de pouvoir continuer \u00e0 coacher et \u00e0 chanter. J&#8217;ai termin\u00e9 ma deuxi\u00e8me ann\u00e9e en tant qu&#8217;artiste r\u00e9sident de l&#8217;Op\u00e9ra de Portland au d\u00e9but de la pand\u00e9mie et j&#8217;ai pass\u00e9 la derni\u00e8re ann\u00e9e en tant que membre de l&#8217;Atelier lyrique de l&#8217;Op\u00e9ra de Montr\u00e9al.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<h4><b>Quel genre de r\u00e9pertoire \u00e9tudiez-vous\u00a0?\u00a0<\/b><\/h4>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">J&#8217;ai l&#8217;habitude de chanter des r\u00f4les de baryton lyrique plus aigus comme Figaro dans <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Il Barbiere di Siviglia<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. C&#8217;est un type de voix souvent pr\u00e9sent dans le r\u00e9pertoire fran\u00e7ais.
