Les premi\u00e8res pi\u00e8ces au \u00adprogramme, appel\u00e9es Pr\u00e9ludes, en sont \u00adfortement marqu\u00e9es. Le troisi\u00e8me de ces \u00adpr\u00e9ludes rappelle davantage la musique de Yann Tiersen dans le film Le fabuleux destin d\u2019Am\u00e9lie Poulain. \u00c0 chaque nouveau \u00admorceau, Nathan Giroux nous m\u00e8ne un peu plus loin par des voies a\u00e9riennes, en apesanteur, vers un monde de r\u00eaves et d\u2019insouciance.<\/p>\n<p>Le cycle suivant, G\u00e9om\u00e9trie, s\u2019ouvre sur une musique apparent\u00e9e \u00e0 celle venue d\u2019Asie et dont les compositeurs impressionnistes se sont aussi abondamment inspir\u00e9s. Les autres compositions de Giroux \u00e9voquent le minimalisme de Philip Glass, sans l\u2019effet de transe que celui-ci produit souvent, mais plut\u00f4t avec cette impression de musique \u00e9th\u00e9r\u00e9e. La \u00adtroisi\u00e8me pi\u00e8ce du cycle en est l\u2019illustration; on y entend aussi \u00adl\u2019influence du compositeur de musiques de film Ludovico Einaudi. Le quatri\u00e8me et dernier morceau de G\u00e9om\u00e9trie adopte une allure, une v\u00e9locit\u00e9 encore \u00adinexplor\u00e9e et nous transporte dans un \u00adtourbillon exaltant, \u00e0 la mani\u00e8re de Glass. C\u2019est aussi le morceau le plus long de l\u2019album.<br \/>\nEnfin, Nathan Giroux nous propose deux valses et un nocturne qui empruntent \u00e0 ce que le compositeur appelle \u00ab\u00a0piano contemporain\u00a0\u00bb et qui ont tout d\u2019une musique de film.
