Moussa: Concerto pour violon (Adrano)<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Andrew Wan, violin. <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Orchestre symphonique de Montr\u00e9al\/Kent Nagano<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Analekta AN 2 8920<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dur\u00e9e totale: 76:52<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Alberto Ginastera, auparavant connu pour ses \u00e9vocations color\u00e9es de la musique folklorique argentine, a embrass\u00e9 le s\u00e9rialisme, les microtonalit\u00e9s et l\u2019al\u00e9atoricisme dans son Concerto pour violon de 1963. C\u2019est une demi-heure sombre. La longue et maussade ouverture de Cadenza pour violon seul \u00ab\u00a0sert, \u00e9crit Ginastera, \u00e0 pr\u00e9senter les mat\u00e9riaux de base de tout le concerto\u00a0\u00bb. Sept percussionnistes jouent des dizaines d\u2019instruments dans une \u00ab\u00a0musique de nuit\u00a0\u00bb \u00e9trangement silencieuse et un fortissimo en col\u00e8re. L\u2019Adagio pour 22 solistes respire la lutte et l\u2019angoisse. Le finale, \u00e9crit Ginastera, commence \u00ab\u00a0avec un rythme effr\u00e9n\u00e9, dans un murmure myst\u00e9rieux, \u00e0 peine audible. Il se termine par un Perpetuum mobile violent\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Le Symposium de Platon, au cours duquel les invit\u00e9s du banquet philosophent sur l\u2019amour, a inspir\u00e9 la S\u00e9r\u00e9nade pour violon solo, cordes, harpe et percussion de Leonard Bernstein (1954) en cinq mouvements, chacun intitul\u00e9 pour un ou deux des participants. C\u2019est du pur Bernstein \u2212 sentimental, enjou\u00e9, d\u00e9sinvolte, d\u00e9sordonn\u00e9 et joyeux, culminant \u00e9motionnellement dans l\u2019adagio du quatri\u00e8me mouvement doux-amer, Agathon. Le dernier et le plus long mouvement, Socrate; Alcibiade, trouve Bernstein s\u2019effor\u00e7ant d\u2019obtenir de la profondeur avant de recourir \u00e0 la chanson dansante de Broadway vers la ligne d\u2019arriv\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>Le Concerto pour violon en quatre mouvements du Montr\u00e9alais Samy Moussa (n\u00e9 en 1989) a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9 par le violon solo Andrew Wan, le directeur musical Kent Nagano et l\u2019OSM le 28 novembre 2019. Sous-titr\u00e9 Adrano (le dieu du feu sous l\u2019Etna) \u2013 la visite du volcan a inspir\u00e9 Moussa \u2212 cela commence par des accords lents et ascendants, le violon dans son registre sup\u00e9rieur. Les cordes en pizzicato nous entra\u00eenent plus haut, il y a une \u00e9ruption d\u2019\u00e9nergie immense, puis un l\u00e9ger affaissement, faisant \u00e9cho aux accords initiaux. La musique rappelle la Symphonie alpestre de Strauss et l\u2019ouverture de son Ainsi parlait Zarathoustra, mais sans leur apog\u00e9e triomphant. Ne durant que 15 minutes, soit la moiti\u00e9 de la dur\u00e9e des compositions de Ginastera et de Bernstein, il a besoin d\u2019\u00eatre \u00e9toff\u00e9 pour atteindre son potentiel consid\u00e9rable. Le livret dit que ces \u0153uvres ont \u00e9t\u00e9 enregistr\u00e9es en concert, mais aucun applaudissement n\u2019est entendu. Ces prestations haute voltige m\u00e9ritent s\u00fbrement plus d\u2019un applaudissement.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ginastera: Concerto pour violin.
