Il est impossible que la clarinette laisse cette musique se terminer sans un hurlement.<\/p>\n<p>De tous les concertos pour clarinette, et j&#8217;inclus celui de Mozart, celui d&#8217;Aaron Copland est mon pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9. Passant par le souvenir d&#8217;une cadence mourante dans la neuvi\u00e8me symphonie de Mahler, il serpente dans les coulisses d&#8217;Hollywood \u00e0 travers les riffs de jazz et les pony clops jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 ce qu&#8217;il ne disparaisse d&#8217;un ton r\u00e9solument am\u00e9ricain, optimiste et l\u00e9g\u00e8rement faux. Pour ma part, je suis heureux de passer une demi-heure en sa compagnie. Le grand Danois ne gaspille jamais une mesure de musique. Il peut \u00eatre un peu pr\u00eacheur, mais l&#8217;artisanat est une merveille \u00e0 contempler et l&#8217;esprit qui se cache derri\u00e8re est absorbant, surtout dans les passages les plus lents.<\/p>\n<p>Je n&#8217;ai jamais entendu <em>Tuireadh<\/em> de James MacMillan en concert et c&#8217;est une situation \u00e0 laquelle je veux rem\u00e9dier une fois que les salles de concert seront rouvertes. Le compositeur \u00e9cossais, profond\u00e9ment touch\u00e9 par un accident survenu en 1988 sur une plate-forme p\u00e9troli\u00e8re de la mer du Nord qui a co\u00fbt\u00e9 la vie \u00e0 167 personnes, a \u00e9crit ce concerto comme une sorte de r\u00e9confort pour les \u00e2mes perdues et leurs proches. Il capture \u00e0 la fois un son cal\u00e9donien indig\u00e8ne et une sonorit\u00e9 particuli\u00e8re \u00e0 la clarinette. En bref, c&#8217;est un kaddish \u00e9cossais.<\/p>\n<p>Ce que j&#8217;aime le plus dans ce disque, c&#8217;est le jeu du soliste espagnol Maximiliano Martin, clarinette solo du Scottish Chamber Orchestra, un artiste de grande exp\u00e9rience qui a tellement \u00e0 dire dans ces oeuvre. Dans la p\u00e9nombre d&#8217;une catastrophe maritime, il offre des lueurs d&#8217;espoir. L&#8217;orchestre est \u00e9galement tr\u00e8s bien.
