Manquait cependant \u00e0 sa gravure un certain enjouement n\u00e9cessaire par moments \u00e0 ces chefs-d\u2019\u0153uvre. Les deux <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">Concertos<\/i> de Haydn qu\u2019il propose maintenant poss\u00e8dent les m\u00eames qualit\u00e9s, mais appellent la m\u00eame r\u00e9serve. Le son est toujours beau et soutenu, et les rythmes rel\u00e8vent de ce que l\u2019on peut consid\u00e9rer comme \u00e9tant un juste milieu. De ce point de vue, les mouvements lents sont les mieux r\u00e9ussis. On aurait souhait\u00e9 trouver plus d\u2019entrain et de mordant dans les mouvements extr\u00eames, cette forme d\u2019humour parfois bourru qui reste la marque de \u00ab papa Haydn \u00bb, mais le soliste s\u2019en tient \u00e0 un s\u00e9rieux par trop monolithique. Il faut dire que le chef est d\u2019abord et surtout le premier violon de l\u2019ensemble restreint qu\u2019il dirige assez mollement.
