Les \u0153uvres principales de ce lot datent de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Le Quintette pour piano de 1944, jou\u00e9 avec ferveur par Olga Scheps et le Quatuor Kuss, rappelle le remarquable quintette de Chostakovitch datant de 1940. Des deux compositeurs, le Russe sonne plus juif que le Juif polonais, telle \u00e9tait sa frayeur de l&#8217;antis\u00e9mitisme g\u00e9nocidaire. Interpr\u00e9t\u00e9 pour la premi\u00e8re fois par Emil Gilels et le Quatuor du Bolcho\u00ef, le quintette de Weinberg, moins vigoureux, est n\u00e9anmoins tr\u00e8s tendu, avec un largo insupportablement tragique. Si certaines nuances se perdent, la solitude d&#8217;un exil\u00e9 polonais sous Staline, attendant de sombres nouvelles de sa famille, est pleinement rendue et les mouvements du milieu v\u00e9hiculent une renversante rage brute (***).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"irc_mi alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.naxos.com\/SharedFiles\/images\/cds\/others\/8.573931.gif\" alt=\"Image result for Claudia Stein weinberg naxos\" width=\"225\" height=\"225\" \/>Naxos a fait plus qu&#8217;aucune \u00e9tiquette ces deux derni\u00e8res d\u00e9cennies pour amener Weinberg \u00e0 l&#8217;attention du public. Cette derni\u00e8re parution comprend des \u0153uvres assez tardives \u2013 une paire r\u00e9p\u00e9titive de symphonies de chambre de 1987 et 1990 (**) et deux concertos pour fl\u00fbte de 1961 et 1987 (***). La soliste est Claudia Stein, fl\u00fbte solo du Staatskapelle de Berlin, et le chef est David Robert Coleman, un autre ami de Barenboim (Barenboim, lui, n&#8217;a jamais montr\u00e9 d&#8217;int\u00e9r\u00eat particulier pour Weinberg). L\u2019orchestre est de Szczecin, en Pologne.<\/p>\n<p>Un peu comme Chostakovitch avec ses trois paires de concertos, Weinberg avait plus \u00e0 dire dans sa premi\u00e8re \u0153uvre tr\u00e8s dynamique que dans sa seconde. Le jeu de Stein est toujours attrayant. Encore plus intrigantes sont les douze pi\u00e8ces pour fl\u00fbte que Weinberg a \u00e9crites en 1947 et orchestr\u00e9es quatre d\u00e9cennies plus tard. Elles r\u00e9v\u00e8lent un compositeur majeur trouvant sa voix juste avant que Staline ne l&#8217;\u00e9touffe.
