Il s&#8217;agit d&#8217;un concerto pour piano qu&#8217;il a \u00e9crit en 1784 lorsqu&#8217;il avait 13 ou 14 ans et qu&#8217;il aurait oubli\u00e9 apr\u00e8s l&#8217;avoir revu maintes fois. Le manuscrit autographe repose \u00e0 la Biblioth\u00e8que d&#8217;\u00c9tat de Berlin et deux pianistes y ont eu recours en passant rapidement par la photocopieuse.<\/p>\n<p>Tout d&#8217;abord\u00a0: est-ce une \u0153uvre importante\u00a0? Pas si on veut en apprendre davantage sur l&#8217;homme, musicalement ou humainement. Le th\u00e8me d&#8217;ouverture n&#8217;accroche pas l&#8217;oreille et le reste est plut\u00f4t convenu. Si quelqu&#8217;un pr\u00e9tendait qu&#8217;il s&#8217;agit d&#8217;une \u0153uvre de Clementi ou de Dussek, personne n&#8217;en douterait. Certaines lignes dans le second mouvement donnent un avant-go\u00fbt du tempo lent des concertos en do majeur et en r\u00e9 majeur, mais le barom\u00e8tre \u00e9motionnel est fix\u00e9 tr\u00e8s bas et il n&#8217;y a pas vraiment de quoi soutenir l&#8217;attention de l&#8217;auditeur durant les vingt-trois minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Alors, quelle interpr\u00e9tation privil\u00e9gier\u00a0?<\/p>\n<p>Mari Kodama donne une interpr\u00e9tation parfaitement acceptable avec son mari, Kent Nagano, dirigeant l&#8217;Orchestre symphonique allemand de Berlin dans le cadre d&#8217;un enregistrement de six concertos pour piano de Beethoven. Sophie-Mayuko Vetter, jouant sur un pianoforte Broadwood de l&#8217;\u00e9poque de Beethoven, est l\u00e9g\u00e8rement plus convaincante, accompagn\u00e9e de l&#8217;Orchestre symphonique de Hambourg dirig\u00e9 par Peter Ruzicka. Son disque offre, en plus du <em>Concerto en si b\u00e9mol majeur<\/em> op. 19, un fragment in\u00e9dit d&#8217;un autre concerto oubli\u00e9. Non dat\u00e9, ce concerto porte les traces du mouvement d&#8217;ouverture du <em>Concerto Empereur<\/em>. En cette ann\u00e9e toute beethov\u00e9nienne, ces rognures d&#8217;ateliers exercent une fascination envo\u00fbtante.
