L\u2019occasion, pour cet ensemble fond\u00e9 en 2014, de faire la promotion de son tout premier album, <em>Memories of Places Past <\/em>(2019). Compos\u00e9 de la soprano Kripa Nageshwar, du clarinettiste Michael Westwood et de la pianiste Ruta Vaivade, le Trio dell\u2019Aria donne \u00e0 entendre un mariage inhabituel d\u2019instruments. Et pourtant, il existe bel et bien du r\u00e9pertoire pour piano, voix et clarinette, comme en t\u00e9moignent les <em>Sechs Deutsche Lieder<\/em> de Louis Spohr, un contemporain de Schubert; une \u0153uvre qui figure d\u2019ailleurs sur l\u2019album et dont certains extraits \u00e9taient interpr\u00e9t\u00e9s au cours de la soir\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>Chaque musicien y est all\u00e9 de son petit mot pour pr\u00e9senter les pi\u00e8ces au programme. Et tous se sont r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9s \u00eatre d\u2019excellents animateurs. Kripa Nageshwar a fait participer le public dans une ambiance conviviale avant d&#8217;entamer \u00ab Zwiegesang \u00bb, morceau dans lequel la clarinette, le piano et la voix se voient attribuer les r\u00f4les de l\u2019oiseau, de la jeune fille et du narrateur, respectivement.<\/p>\n<p>Le trio a \u00e9galement pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 deux \u0153uvres contemporaines\u00a0: <em>Memories of a Place Past <\/em>de Frank Horvat, ami du clarinettiste, et <em>Ashes of Soldiers<\/em> de Colin Eatock. La premi\u00e8re pr\u00e9sente des difficult\u00e9s techniques qui nous paraissent excessives, notamment pour la voix; la seconde est une \u0153uvre plus int\u00e9r\u00e9ssante, \u00e9mouvante, qui rend hommage aux soldats morts sur le front. C&#8217;est dans celle-ci que la soprano s\u2019est le mieux illustr\u00e9e.
