Inspir\u00e9e de <i>La Dame aux cam\u00e9lias<\/i> d\u2019Alexandre Dumas fils, l\u2019histoire reste universelle et actuelle\u00a0: un amour profond o\u00f9 passion et raison s\u2019affrontent. Elle est tr\u00e8s en contr\u00f4le et consciente du pouvoir qu\u2019elle exerce sur les hommes. C\u2019est aussi une femme de c\u0153ur qui aime la f\u00eate et le plaisir, malgr\u00e9 sa sant\u00e9 fragile\u00a0\u00bb, explique St\u00e9phanie Lessard, qui interpr\u00e9tera le r\u00f4le pour la premi\u00e8re fois dans cette production de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 d\u2019art lyrique du Royaume (SALR). Elle ajoute\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0La rencontre avec Alfredo l\u2019am\u00e8nera \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir l\u2019amour vrai, pur et authentique et \u00e0 se demander ce que vaut la vie si on n\u2019a pas l\u2019amour.\u00a0\u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">La soprano St\u00e9phanie Lessard poursuit\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0J\u2019ai abord\u00e9 ce r\u00f4le comme un cadeau, j\u2019\u00e9tais tr\u00e8s enthousiaste. J\u2019avais d\u00e9j\u00e0 chant\u00e9 environ 70\u00a0% de l\u2019\u0153uvre, mais pas d\u2019un bout \u00e0 l\u2019autre. C\u2019est un v\u00e9ritable marathon\u00a0! Plusieurs consid\u00e8rent que le r\u00f4le a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9crit pour deux voix\u00a0: l\u2019acte 1 demande une Violetta toute en libert\u00e9, avec plusieurs coloratures et beaucoup d\u2019aigus alors que les actes 2 et 3 sont des actes plus dramatiques, plus lyriques. La difficult\u00e9 est de concilier ces deux \u00ab\u00a0r\u00f4les\u00a0\u00bb. L\u2019air <i>Sempre libera<\/i> est un air tr\u00e8s demandant, mais magnifique\u00a0!\u00a0\u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">\u00ab\u00a0D\u00e8s les premi\u00e8res notes du pr\u00e9lude, on est immerg\u00e9 dans cette intimit\u00e9 qui demeurera pr\u00e9sente tout au long de l\u2019op\u00e9ra. La musique est magique par sa finesse et par les couleurs coll\u00e9es au drame que Verdi ma\u00eetrise si bien\u00a0\u00bb, explique le chef Jean-Philippe Tremblay. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s5\">Jean-Michel Richer, qui tiendra le r\u00f4le d\u2019Alfredo, r\u00e9sume\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0C\u2019est l\u2019histoire d\u2019une jeune femme qui veut vivre pleinement et \u00eatre ma\u00eetresse de sa destin\u00e9e, mais celle-ci joue contre elle. Alfredo et Germont sont emport\u00e9s dans cette lutte contre le destin. Ce qui fait la force de <i>La Traviata<\/i>, c\u2019est qu\u2019il s\u2019agit d\u2019\u00e9motions primaires et d\u2019enjeux que l\u2019on vit personnellement, chacun a une connexion avec les personnages.\u00a0\u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">La SALR pr\u00e9sentera <i>La Traviata<\/i> en version originale italienne, une premi\u00e8re pour la compagnie; l\u2019op\u00e9ra sera accompagn\u00e9 de surtitres fran\u00e7ais pour faciliter la compr\u00e9hension.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s5\"><i>La Traviata<\/i> de Giuseppe Verdi pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 par la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 d\u2019art lyrique du Royaume\u00a0: St\u00e9phanie Lessard (Violetta), Jean-Michel Richer (Alfredo), Dion Mazerolle (Germont).
