Ainsi, le minimalisme de John Adams \u00e9volue lentement, par ajouts, retraits et d\u00e9calages, tandis que le c\u00e9l\u00e8bre <em>Mad Rush<\/em> (aurait-on pu entendre autre chose\u00a0?) de Philip Glass superpose des voix \u00e9voluant chacune dans son temps propre; le langage du Canadien Srul Irving Glick emprunte son lyrisme au romantisme, mais s\u2019en d\u00e9marque par l\u2019utilisation de m\u00e9triques changeantes. Le compositeur torontois Jordan Pal r\u00e9alise dans <em>Study in White<\/em> une synth\u00e8se efficace et personnelle des musiques minimaliste, r\u00e9p\u00e9titive et impressionniste tandis que Jordan Nobles, de Vancouver, apporte une verve plus po\u00e9tique et \u00e9th\u00e9r\u00e9e dans <em>Zephyrus<\/em>. Deux compositions de R\u00e9a Beaumont, de facture plus \u00e9pur\u00e9e, se glissent dans l\u2019album. Il est tr\u00e8s appr\u00e9ciable de voir plusieurs \u0153uvres canadiennes dans ce programme vari\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>La pianiste rend honneur \u00e0 ce r\u00e9pertoire gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une technique solide et une interpr\u00e9tation habile des diff\u00e9rents langages pr\u00e9sents. Elle met en lumi\u00e8re les \u00e9l\u00e9ments importants et r\u00e9v\u00e8le le relief des lignes ou encore l\u2019unit\u00e9 et la lin\u00e9arit\u00e9 des pi\u00e8ces malgr\u00e9 des rythmiques changeantes. Le danger d\u2019un tel album est de se laisser bercer et d\u2019oublier que cette musique r\u00e9sulte d\u2019un long travail d\u2019appropriation des rythmes extraeurop\u00e9ens, mais \u00e9galement de d\u00e9veloppements complexes \u00e0 partir d\u2019un mat\u00e9riau simple et minimal.
