C\u2019est en hommage au compositeur Jos\u00e9 Evangelista que Chant Libres pr\u00e9sente une reprise de cette cr\u00e9ation dans son int\u00e9gralit\u00e9. Le tandem <strong>Ghislaine Deschambault<\/strong> (mezzo-soprano) et <strong>Huizi Wang<\/strong> (percussions) est ainsi invit\u00e9 \u00e0 s\u2019approprier les 45 minutes de cet op\u00e9ra dans une mise en sc\u00e8ne et une sc\u00e9nographie de <strong>Joseph Saint-Gelais \/ Pauline Vaillancourt<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>S\u2019inspirant de contes de traditions perses, indiennes et arabes, <strong>La porte<\/strong> est une \u0153uvre o\u00f9 l\u2019osmose de la voix et de la percussion nous plonge dans une atmosph\u00e8re de rite pa\u00efen. Derri\u00e8re 25 bougies pour tout d\u00e9cor, une cantatrice nous raconte, fable apr\u00e8s fable, comment le destin de l\u2019homme de la campagne se lie \u00e0 celui du gardien de la porte aux rythmes envo\u00fbtants de la percussion.
