Elle a remport\u00e9 le Wirth Vocal Prize, a obtenu une ma\u00eetrise en musique de l&#8217;Universit\u00e9 McGill et a re\u00e7u le premier prix chez le \u2018Canadian Opera Company ensemble Studio Competition\u2019. McIntosh attribue son succ\u00e8s \u00e0 son amour pour l\u2019interpr\u00e9tation. &#8220;Tout ce que je veux c\u2019est de m&#8217;amuser. Il n&#8217;y a rien de plus d\u2019exaltant que ces dix secondes avant d&#8217;aller sur sc\u00e8ne. J\u2019harnais cette \u00e9nergie incroyable et je m\u2019engage dans la musique et le drame. En fin de compte, j&#8217;aime beaucoup jouer, pour moi, c&#8217;est l&#8217;ingr\u00e9dient secret de ma r\u00e9ussite. &#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Elle admet avoir une affinit\u00e9 pour les \u00abr\u00f4les des pantalons\u00bb (ces r\u00f4les de Mezzo dans lequel la chanteuse joue un homme ou un gar\u00e7on). &#8220;J&#8217;ai la chance d\u2019avoir un \u00e9tendu vocal qui me permet de chanter une grande vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de musique &#8221; dit-elle. &#8220;Ma voix est confortable dans une grande tessiture, ouvrant la porte \u00e0 des r\u00f4les de mezzo plus aigus et anise ansi qu\u2019\u00e0 des r\u00f4les de soprano. Je suis tr\u00e8s attir\u00e9e par des personnages de mezzo qui ont du caract\u00e8re, tels que Rosina et Dorabella, et aussi \u00e0 des personnage tr\u00e8s vivants tels que Cherubino et Stephano. Je trouve que je peux me connecter facilement \u00e0 ces personnages, car je partage des traits de personnalit\u00e9 similaires. &#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Bien que McIntosh soit une chanteuse ambitieuse, elle regarde aussi les concours comme une opportunit\u00e9 pour acqu\u00e9rir de l&#8217;exp\u00e9rience et c\u00f4toyer d&#8217;autres chanteurs jeunes et talentueux. \u00abJ&#8217;aimerais participer \u00e0 certains concours internationaux, tel que le Concours international de Montr\u00e9al, les auditions du Conseil national de l\u2019op\u00e9ra m\u00e9tropolitaine ou le Belvedere Competition pour n&#8217;en nommer que quelques-uns.
