Le concert-gala c\u00e9l\u00e9brant cet anniversaire, le 24 novembre \u00e0 la salle Pierre-Mercure du Centre Pierre-P\u00e9ladeau, d\u00e9bordait, en effet, de jeunesse et d\u2019espoir. Plusieurs \u00e9toiles montantes de la musique classique et de l\u2019op\u00e9ra ont enchant\u00e9 cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 la rel\u00e8ve et au cours duquel un vibrant hommage a \u00e9t\u00e9 rendu \u00e0 la m\u00e9moire de l\u2019auteure et journaliste Lucie Renaud, d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9e r\u00e9cemment et qui \u00e9tait parmi les plumes les plus inspir\u00e9es de <em>La Scena Musicale<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Nous avons lanc\u00e9 <em>La Scena Musicale<\/em> \u00e0 un moment o\u00f9 l\u2019avenir de la musique classique paraissait bien incertain, et nous avions comme mission d\u2019informer, d\u2019\u00e9duquer, d\u2019inspirer, de promouvoir la musique classique et la rendre accessible au public, d\u2019enflammer l\u2019imagination de chaque lecteur, qu\u2019il soit novice ou musicien professionnel\u00a0\u00bb, a dit, en ouverture, Wah Keung Chan, fondateur et r\u00e9dacteur en chef, soulignant le travail accompli pour le d\u00e9veloppement de la mission initiale afin d\u2019inclure tous les arts par le biais du magazine <em>La Scena<\/em> et le site maScena.org. \u00ab\u00a0<em>La Scena Musicale<\/em> est n\u00e9e humblement, avec des ressources financi\u00e8res limit\u00e9es. Aujourd\u2019hui encore, le magazine vit tr\u00e8s modestement\u00a0\u00bb, a-t-il indiqu\u00e9, exprimant au nom de ceux et celles qui contribuent de pr\u00e8s ou de loin \u00e0 la poursuite de ce r\u00eave la grande fiert\u00e9 de ce qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9 durant ces 20 ans. \u00ab\u00a0Je vois bien plus que 212 num\u00e9ros lus par des millions de lecteurs. C\u2019est toute une vie de travail et d\u2019amour de la part des collaborateurs, b\u00e9n\u00e9voles, membres du conseil d\u2019administration, lecteurs et amis de <em>La Scena \/>\n\t\t<\/div>\n<h3>De futures \u00e9toiles illuminent le gala<\/h3>\n<p>Au cours de cette soir\u00e9e haute en couleur, de brillants repr\u00e9sentants de la rel\u00e8ve se sont succ\u00e9d\u00e9s sur sc\u00e8ne, emmenant le public de voyage en voyage \u00e0 travers les merveilles de la musique classique et de l\u2019op\u00e9ra. La soprano Chelsea Rus et le baryton Hugo Laporte dans des airs d\u2019op\u00e9ra et des m\u00e9lodies des r\u00e9pertoires fran\u00e7ais, italien et allemand. Le clarinettiste David Dias da Silva, interpr\u00e9tant la <em>Premi\u00e8re Rapsodie<\/em> de Debussy. Le violoniste Joshua Peters, accompagn\u00e9 par le pianiste Philip Chiu dans le premier mouvement de la <em>Sonate no 9<\/em> \u00ab Kreutzer \u00bb de Beethoven.\u00a0 La pianiste Emily Oulousian, jouant avec gr\u00e2ce du Beethoven, du Chopin et du Prokofiev.\u00a0 Matt Herskowitz et John Roney (Piano Cam\u00e9l\u00e9ons), reproduisant des m\u00e9lodies de Bach, Chopin et Debussy sous des couleurs jazz. \u00c0 noter que l\u2019accompagnement des chanteurs a \u00e9t\u00e9 assur\u00e9 par le c\u00e9l\u00e8bre pianiste Michael McMahon.
