Chef d\u2019orchestre c\u00e9l\u00e8bre, il a travaill\u00e9 sur l\u2019orchestration de plusieurs \u0153uvres canoniques dont sa signature reste la <em>Toccata et fugue en r\u00e9 mineur<\/em> de J.S. Bach, que nous connaissons tous \u00e0 travers le film <em>Fantasia<\/em> de Disney.<\/p>\n<p>Il fallait donc un proche de Stokowski pour assumer le haut calibre de son travail. C\u2019est ainsi que Jos\u00e9 Serebrier, l\u2019un des chefs d\u2019orchestre les plus enregistr\u00e9s au monde, mais surtout l\u2019associ\u00e9 de Stokowski pendant plusieurs ann\u00e9es, s\u2019est lanc\u00e9 dans l\u2019aventure avec le Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.<\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est une r\u00e9ussite exemplaire. Le travail de l\u2019orchestre sur le plan de la clart\u00e9 des timbres, des diff\u00e9rents caract\u00e8res et de l\u2019extr\u00eame pr\u00e9cision dans la conduite des lignes de chaque pi\u00e8ce est \u00e0 souligner. La magnificence de certaines \u0153uvres est d\u00e9cupl\u00e9e par la masse orchestrale sans pour autant envahir la sensibilit\u00e9 musicale.<\/p>\n<p>On sent tout au long de l\u2019enregistrement une volont\u00e9 de s\u2019affranchir des styles pr\u00e9d\u00e9finis sans pour autant devenir hors sujet. Jos\u00e9 Serebrier r\u00e9ussit \u00e0 la fois \u00e0 \u00eatre original tout en \u00e9tant le digne successeur de Stokowski.
