Il a vu le jour pour la premi\u00e8re fois sous forme de vid\u00e9o diffus\u00e9e par Essential Opera en d\u00e9cembre\u00a02020. La bande originale de la vid\u00e9o a \u00e9t\u00e9 remix\u00e9e sous forme de mini-album audio (t\u00e9l\u00e9chargement num\u00e9rique et diffusion) publi\u00e9 chez Leaf Records.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">C\u2019est l\u2019histoire de deux femmes qui s\u2019aiment. Julia (Erin Bardua) ram\u00e8ne sa compagne Natasha (Danielle Buonaiuto) chez elle pour les vacances afin de la pr\u00e9senter \u00e0 sa famille pour la premi\u00e8re fois. La sc\u00e8ne se pr\u00e9sente comme une longue conversation t\u00e9l\u00e9phonique entre les deux personnages, tandis que Julia fait ses valises puis se rend \u00e0 l\u2019a\u00e9roport, o\u00f9 elle doit faire face \u00e0 diverses interruptions pour appeler le service client\u00e8le de la compagnie a\u00e9rienne et passer les contr\u00f4les de s\u00e9curit\u00e9. Les divers agents impliqu\u00e9s sont tous chant\u00e9s par <a href=\"https:\/\/myscena.org\/fr\/charles-geyer\/maureen-batt-la-soprano-qui-raconte-des-histoires\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maureen Batt<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">C\u2019est assez touchant, et les personnages de Maureen ajoutent une touche d\u2019humour noir. La meilleure sc\u00e8ne met en vedette le \u00ab\u00a0service \u00e0 la client\u00e8le\u00a0\u00bb de Top Priority Air. C\u2019est la saga redout\u00e9e des mises en attente interminables, des listes infinies \u00ab\u00a0pour cela, appuyez sur x\u00a0\u00bb et de l\u2019indiff\u00e9rence g\u00e9n\u00e9rale et du manque d\u2019aide. Maureen comprend parfaitement cela, chantant d\u2019un ton qui traduit un d\u00e9sint\u00e9r\u00eat total.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Julia arrive enfin \u00e0 l\u2019a\u00e9roport, mais elle est oblig\u00e9e de d\u00e9baller ses cadeaux de No\u00ebl au contr\u00f4le de s\u00e9curit\u00e9. Parmi ces cadeaux\u00a0: une bague de fian\u00e7ailles. Tout cela ressort bien sur le disque, en partie parce que la lecture du texte est extr\u00eamement claire. In\u00e9vitablement, toutefois, une partie de l\u2019humour visuel de la vid\u00e9o se perd quelque peu.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La musique \u00e9crite par Pierce est vari\u00e9e et int\u00e9ressante. Les premi\u00e8res sc\u00e8nes, bien qu\u2019assez minimalistes et regorgeant de pizzicatos, deviennent plus lyriques au fur et \u00e0 mesure que l\u2019\u0153uvre progresse. Le texte est clairement pr\u00e9sent\u00e9, ce qui facilite grandement la compr\u00e9hension, en particulier avec une distribution enti\u00e8rement compos\u00e9e de sopranos.
