N\u00e9 en Saskatchewan, l\u2019acteur a son agenda bien rempli. Il a incarn\u00e9 Anatole, personnage frivole dans la coproduction du Crow\u2019s Theatre et de la Musical Stage Company de <em>Natasha, Pierre &amp; The Great Comet of 1812<\/em> lorsqu\u2019il est arriv\u00e9 au th\u00e9\u00e2tre Ed Mirvish l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 dernier. Il a \u00e9galement interpr\u00e9t\u00e9 cet \u00e9t\u00e9 Jimmy Ray Dobbs dans <em>Bright Star<\/em> des Garner Theatre Productions en coproduction avec le th\u00e9\u00e2tre Ed Mirvish . Les spectacles sont souvent transf\u00e9r\u00e9s de Stratford \u00e0 Toronto ou font l\u2019objet d\u2019une avant-premi\u00e8re dans cette ville avant d\u2019arriver \u00e0 Broadway. Mais les compagnies telles que Crow\u2019s ou Musical Stage Company peuvent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement s\u2019attendre \u00e0 une s\u00e9rie de repr\u00e9sentations \u00e9ph\u00e9m\u00e8res mais brillantes de six semaines, \u00e0 l\u2019image de la com\u00e8te qui donne son titre au spectacle. Cependant, en raison de sa grande popularit\u00e9, apr\u00e8s son ouverture le 5\u00a0d\u00e9cembre 2023, le spectacle \u2013 un op\u00e9ra \u00e9lectropop immersif inspir\u00e9 d\u2019un moment de <em>Guerre et Paix<\/em> \u2013 a \u00e9t\u00e9 prolong\u00e9 sept fois avant d&#8217;\u00eatre transf\u00e9r\u00e9 au Mirvish, vendant pr\u00e8s de 100\u00a0000 billets au passage.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0C\u2019\u00e9tait la plus belle surprise, d\u00e9clare George. Je pense que beaucoup de personnes ont ressenti une connexion, car on n\u2019a pas l\u2019habitude de voir les choses aussi fortement et de mani\u00e8re aussi proche. Dans cette com\u00e9die musicale, on se demande ce qui se serait pass\u00e9 si Juliette ne s\u2019\u00e9tait jamais suicid\u00e9e, avec en musique de fond les tubes pop embl\u00e9matiques de Max Martin. Le conjoint de George a vu la version originale au West End et est retourn\u00e9 imm\u00e9diatement revoir la pi\u00e8ce, puis a dit \u00e0 George\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Ce r\u00f4le est fait pour toi.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Pour ses deux derni\u00e8res auditions, George avait attrap\u00e9 une infection pulmonaire et sinusale, mais il a tout de m\u00eame r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 obtenir le r\u00f4le. Il attribue cette r\u00e9ussite \u00e0 son parcours, expliquant que \u00ab\u00a0la plupart du temps, dans le th\u00e9\u00e2tre canadien, on n\u2019a pas de doublure&#8230; j\u2019ai donc beaucoup d\u2019exp\u00e9rience pour faire en sorte que \u00e7a marche\u00a0\u00bb.
