Lu, 28 ans, est l\u2019Am\u00e9ricain qui a remport\u00e9 le Concours Chopin \u00e0 Varsovie l\u2019ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re et celui de Leeds en 2018. Quelle que soit notre opinion de ces r\u00e9sultats, c\u2019est un pianiste comp\u00e9tent, d\u00e9vou\u00e9 et exp\u00e9riment\u00e9 qui m\u00e8nera une longue carri\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<p>Cela dit, j\u2019ai failli vomir d\u00e8s les premi\u00e8res notes des impromptus opus 90, puis \u00e0 nouveau durant le troisi\u00e8me morceau de la s\u00e9rie. La note pr\u00e9liminaire s\u2019\u00e9tend si longuement qu&#8217;elle se d\u00e9compose en moisissures abondantes. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019un jeu volontaire, ostentatoire et accrocheur, qui vise principalement \u00e0 faire impression. J\u2019ai entendu tous les grands pianistes, de Schnabel \u00e0 Lang Lang, jouer ces impromptus, et aucun d\u2019entre eux, pas m\u00eame le dernier, ne se met autant de l\u2019avant que ne le fait ici Eric Lu. Quant au troisi\u00e8me impromptu, il ralentit comme le centre-ville de Manchester \u00e0 l\u2019heure de pointe, avan\u00e7ant par \u00e0-coups d\u00e9raisonnables.<\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est une question de go\u00fbt et d\u2019opinion personnels. Anderszewski, aujourd\u2019hui \u00e2g\u00e9 de 56 ans, a pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9 quitter au milieu d&#8217;un concours plut\u00f4t que d\u2019attendre les r\u00e9sultats. Il limite ses apparitions en concert et se concentre sur une poign\u00e9e de compositeurs avec lesquels il ressent une affinit\u00e9 particuli\u00e8re, parmi lesquels Bach, Bart\u00f3k et Szymanowski. Il n\u2019y a rien d\u2019artificiel dans son jeu qui, comme l\u2019aurait dit <a href=\"https:\/\/myscena.org\/fr\/justin-bernard\/music-and-film-together-again-onstage\/\">Mozart<\/a>, coule comme de l\u2019huile.<\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est du Brahms pour les connaisseurs : impeccable, litt\u00e9ral et plein de sentiments retenus.
