Certainement pas un duel. Ces musiciens doivent prot\u00e9ger leurs mains. Le r\u00e9sultat, je vous le d\u00e9voile, est un hybride entre un jeu-questionnaire opposant deux \u00e9quipes de laur\u00e9ats du prix Nobel et une lutte pour la banquette du bas dans un sauna finlandais. Lorsqu&#8217;ils s&#8217;unissent dans l&#8217;<em>Octuor<\/em> de Mendelssohn, on per\u00e7oit une certaine rivalit\u00e9 de performance. Je ne l&#8217;invente pas. Il y a un \u00e9l\u00e9ment sportif, voire quasi antisportif, perceptible dans cette rencontre.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;octuor de Mendelssohn, compos\u00e9 alors que le compositeur \u00e9tait \u00e2g\u00e9 de 16 ans, fut la premi\u00e8re \u0153uvre du genre. Mendelssohn demanda aux huit musiciens de jouer comme s&#8217;ils faisaient partie d&#8217;un orchestre symphonique. Contrairement \u00e0 la r\u00e9cente curiosit\u00e9 de Louis Spohr pour double quatuor \u00e0 cordes, l&#8217;\u0153uvre de Mendelssohn fut un triomphe imm\u00e9diat, une merveille de perfection cord\u00e9e. Je ne suis pas s\u00fbr d&#8217;avoir entendu plus captivante interpr\u00e9tation.<\/p>\n<p>Le Roumain George Enescu avait 18 ans et avait abandonn\u00e9 ses \u00e9tudes au Conservatoire de Paris lorsqu&#8217;il d\u00e9couvrit cette \u0153uvre de Schubert et la r\u00e9v\u00e9la dans toute sa splendeur avec une langueur postromantique. L&#8217;ambiance se situe \u00e0 mi-chemin entre un op\u00e9ra de Massenet et <em>Strictly Come Ballroom <\/em>(BBC). L&#8217;interpr\u00e9tation est exquise. Je ne vois pas de meilleure fa\u00e7on de clore cette ann\u00e9e de grands troubles que fut 2025.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Traduction : A.
