Chacune s&#8217;inspire d&#8217;un sentier de randonn\u00e9e que lui et sa femme ont emprunt\u00e9 pendant ce s\u00e9jour. La musique refl\u00e8te de mani\u00e8re vivifiante la nature diverse des randonn\u00e9es, des lacets \u00e9reintants du mont Sulphur \u00e0 la tranquillit\u00e9 de la rivi\u00e8re Bow. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">J&#8217;ai particuli\u00e8rement aim\u00e9 Johnston Canyon, peut-\u00eatre parce que j&#8217;ai d\u00e9j\u00e0 parcouru ce circuit. Ce morceau assez long capture bien, selon moi, la transition entre le chaos humain et aquatique de la promenade tr\u00e8s fr\u00e9quent\u00e9e et la beaut\u00e9 et la tranquillit\u00e9 des Ink Pots, qui sont heureusement trop recul\u00e9s pour attirer les foules !<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Horvat a le don d&#8217;\u00e9voquer le monde naturel dans sa musique. \u00c0 cet \u00e9gard, cet enregistrement m&#8217;a rappel\u00e9 d&#8217;autres \u0153uvres de l&#8217;artiste, telles que More Rivers. On y trouve g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement une phrase ou un fragment r\u00e9p\u00e9titif qui \u00e9voque le mouvement. Celui-ci peut \u00eatre superpos\u00e9 \u00e0 une ligne m\u00e9lodique plus harmonieuse, synonyme de beaut\u00e9 et de tranquillit\u00e9, et \u00e0 une ligne plus agit\u00e9e, flirtant avec l&#8217;atonalit\u00e9, pour des sc\u00e9narios plus fr\u00e9n\u00e9tiques ou \u00e9nergiques. <\/span><\/p>\n<h3>La palette efficace de Horvat<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Parfois, le minimalisme de l&#8217;arri\u00e8re-plan s&#8217;estompe pour ne laisser qu&#8217;une ligne clairsem\u00e9e, d&#8217;une beaut\u00e9 myst\u00e9rieuse. La seconde moiti\u00e9 de <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Johnston Canyon<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> en est un bon exemple. \u00c0 l&#8217;autre extr\u00e9mit\u00e9 du spectre, on nous offre parfois quelque chose de beaucoup plus \u00ab\u00a0physique\u00a0\u00bb et percussif. Certaines sections de <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sacred Buffalo Guardian Mountain<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> poss\u00e8dent cette qualit\u00e9, avec un son semblable \u00e0 des coups de marteau sur une enclume (technique extensive\u00a0?), mais m\u00eame cela se r\u00e9sout dans la qui\u00e9tude. C&#8217;est une palette qui sert bien les vis\u00e9es du morceau.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Il s&#8217;agit d&#8217;une musique complexe qui exige beaucoup du pianiste. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vickychow.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vicky Chow<\/a> r\u00e9ussit admirablement \u00e0 rendre les diff\u00e9rentes ambiances et sonorit\u00e9s. Elle est aid\u00e9e dans ce p\u00e9riple par un excellent enregistrement, clair et bien \u00e9quilibr\u00e9, r\u00e9alis\u00e9 aux studios Imagine Sound de Toronto en septembre 2024. L&#8217;enregistrement est disponible en version num\u00e9rique avec une r\u00e9solution de 44,1 kHz\/24 bits, au format MP3 ou diffus\u00e9 en continu.
