En 1938, le compositeur tch\u00e8que <span class=\"expandableItem\">Bohuslav Martin\u016f<\/span> vivait \u00e0 Paris, regardant son pays dispara\u00eetre sous ses yeux. Sa femme Charlotte, une couturi\u00e8re fran\u00e7aise, subvenait \u00e0 leurs besoins en nourriture et en v\u00eatements.<\/p>\n<p>C&#8217;est alors qu&#8217;est arriv\u00e9e la fille d&#8217;un ami, <span class=\"kY2IgmnCmOGjharHErah\">V\u00edt\u011bzslava Kapr\u00e1lov\u00e1<\/span>, qui cherchait \u00e0 prendre des cours. Elle avait 22 ans et se produisait d\u00e9j\u00e0 avec Rafael <span class=\"expandableItem\">Kubel\u00edk<\/span> et l&#8217;Orchestre philharmonique tch\u00e8que. Ils sont rapidement devenus amants, mais peu de temps apr\u00e8s, elle l&#8217;a quitt\u00e9 pour un homme de son \u00e2ge, le journaliste Jiri Mucha. Son finale a des airs de fin du monde. Compar\u00e9 aux deuxi\u00e8me, troisi\u00e8me et septi\u00e8me quatuors de cet album, il est douloureusement introspectif et totalement d\u00e9pourvu des m\u00e9lodies tch\u00e8ques auxquelles <span class=\"expandableItem\">Martin\u016f<\/span> faisait appel pour se donner du courage. Cette humeur inhabituellement sombre de <span class=\"expandableItem\">Martin\u016f<\/span> est rendue avec une v\u00e9racit\u00e9 saisissante par le <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prestomusic.com\/classical\/products\/9779888--sparks-from-ashes\">Pavel Haas Quartet<\/a>, un ensemble impeccable et de premier ordre. Si le cinqui\u00e8me quatuor vous donne envie de prendre rendez-vous chez Dignitas, \u00e9coutez le septi\u00e8me pour vous remettre imm\u00e9diatement.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1094593 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/myscena.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/2977.jpg\" alt=\"Martinu Pavel\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/myscena.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/2977.jpg 300w, https:\/\/myscena.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/2977-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/myscena.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/2977-100x100.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Les airs de <span class=\"kY2IgmnCmOGjharHErah\">Kapr\u00e1lov\u00e1<\/span>, que je n&#8217;avais jamais entendus auparavant, sont interpr\u00e9t\u00e9s dans un tch\u00e8que impeccable par le t\u00e9nor \u00e9cossais Nicky Spence, sp\u00e9cialiste des anti-h\u00e9ros de <span class=\"expandableItem\">Jan\u00e1\u010dek<\/span>. On retrouve beaucoup de <span class=\"expandableItem\">Jan\u00e1\u010dek<\/span> chez <span class=\"kY2IgmnCmOGjharHErah\">Kapr\u00e1lov\u00e1<\/span>, mais aussi une vivacit\u00e9 digne d&#8217;une jeune femme aux portes du succ\u00e8s. Son ode de six minutes de 1937, <em>Waving Farewell<\/em>, adress\u00e9e \u00e0 sa Prague natale, est profond\u00e9ment \u00e9mouvante. Un ensemble de 1933, <em>Sparks from Ashes<\/em>, est plus romantique. Spence, accompagn\u00e9 du pianiste Dylan Perez, est dans son \u00e9l\u00e9ment. Son amplitude dynamique, du murmure \u00e0 la d\u00e9flagration, est ph\u00e9nom\u00e9nale.<\/p>\n<p>Le reste de leur r\u00e9cital est compos\u00e9 d&#8217;airs de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prestomusic.com\/classical\/products\/9779888--sparks-from-ashes\"><span class=\"expandableItem\">Dvo\u0159\u00e1k<\/span>, <span class=\"kY2IgmnCmOGjharHErah\">Bart\u00f3k<\/span> et\u00a0<span class=\"expandableItem\">K\u0159i\u010dka<\/span><\/a>.
