Le 25 mai dernier marquait le d\u00e9but des premi\u00e8res \u00e9preuves dans la cat\u00e9gorie Voix \u2013 Aria. 10 candidats sont entr\u00e9s en lice sur les 24 \u00e0 avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s. Par eux, Hedvig Haugerud, Ruby Dibble, Karoline Podolak et Ihor Mostovoi, que nous avions d\u00e9j\u00e0 identifi\u00e9s dans nos pronostics. Verdict?<\/p>\n<h4>Aria I &#8211; Apr\u00e8s-midi<\/h4>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Beaucoup de ces chanteuses et chanteurs ont donn\u00e9 tout ce qu\u2019ils avaient, au lieu de temp\u00e9rer leur ardeur. C\u2019est le cas de la basse mexicaine Daniel Noyola. Premier \u00e0 s\u2019\u00e9lancer, l\u2019interpr\u00e8te a bien occup\u00e9 l\u2019espace, tant par son corps que par sa voix, mais il parfois manqu\u00e9 de justesse dans l\u2019aigu. De plus, le contour de ses lignes m\u00e9lodiques, dans les passages plus virtuoses, a souffert de la l\u00e9g\u00e8re r\u00e9verb\u00e9ration de la salle Bourgie qui, rappelons-le, est une ancienne \u00e9glise. La soprano norv\u00e9gienne Hedvig Haugerud a, elle aussi, interpr\u00e9t\u00e9 son r\u00e9pertoire avec \u00e9motion, mais sa voix a \u00e9t\u00e9 trop appuy\u00e9e et mal proportionn\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019acoustique des lieux, notamment dans un air de <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">La Valkyrie <\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">de Wagner. L\u2019absence relative de nuances a \u00e9galement \u00e9maill\u00e9 la prestation de la mezzo-soprano australienne Fleuranne Brockway. Cette derni\u00e8re s\u2019est montr\u00e9e d\u2019abord timide sur sc\u00e8ne, mais a offert une interpr\u00e9tation exalt\u00e9e et divertissante d\u2019un des airs les plus c\u00e9l\u00e8bres de Mozart pour son type de voix, \u00ab Parto, ma tu ben mio \u00bb de <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">La clemenza di Tito<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Ruby Dibble et Karoline Podolak se sont le mieux illustr\u00e9es lors de la premi\u00e8re s\u00e9ance, donnant \u00e0 entendre une plus large palette de couleurs. La mezzo-soprano am\u00e9ricaine, dont le timbre est tr\u00e8s \u00e9toff\u00e9e, a profit\u00e9 de son passage pour recr\u00e9er une sc\u00e8ne d\u2019op\u00e9ra avec une gestuelle et des mouvements corporels tr\u00e8s amples. Nous sortions un peu du cadre polic\u00e9 d\u2019un concours de style r\u00e9cital et peut-\u00eatre cela va-t-il jouer en sa d\u00e9faveur.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"CMIM 2025 - Voix | Voice\" width=\"702\" height=\"395\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9rmnONsIsgA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h4>Aria I &#8211; Soir<\/h4>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Dans l\u2019ensemble, la s\u00e9ance du soir a \u00e9t\u00e9 de meilleure tenue. Les pr\u00e9sences de Julia Muzychenko-Greenhalgh, virtuose ph\u00e9nom\u00e9nale dans <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Lakm\u00e9<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, et Theodore Platt, captivant dans une sc\u00e8ne de <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Written on Skin <\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">de George Benjamin, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 les plus remarquables. La musicalit\u00e9 et le soin apport\u00e9 \u00e0 chaque langue font du baryton britannique un s\u00e9rieux pr\u00e9tendant pour l\u2019accession \u00e0 la finale. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Laureano Quant est l\u2019autre belle surprise de la soir\u00e9e. C\u2019est un chanteur qui a du coffre et un naturel pour l\u2019op\u00e9ra. Sa place en demi-finale serait amplement m\u00e9rit\u00e9e.
