Pour jouer Brahms, il faut effectivement avoir une entente et un \u00e9quilibre entre chacune des parties que seule une longue collaboration permet.<\/p>\r\n<p>Dans la <em>Sonate no 1 en mi mineur<\/em>, les deux partenaires font parler leurs individualit\u00e9s. D\u00e8s l\u2019ouverture, Alisa Weilerstein fait preuve d\u2019une intensit\u00e9 de jeu \u00e9lev\u00e9e, marqu\u00e9e par une certaine tendance \u00e0 enfler les notes. R\u00e9sultat : une interpr\u00e9tation tr\u00e8s romantique avec la pr\u00e9sence notable d\u2019un <em>rubato<\/em> dans certains passages qui surprend l\u2019oreille et n\u2019est pas toujours du meilleur go\u00fbt. De son c\u00f4t\u00e9, Inon Barnatan s\u00e9duit par son phras\u00e9 extr\u00eamement coulant, telle une force tranquille. De ce point de vue, les musiciens se compl\u00e8tent bien, autant dans ce que la musique exige que dans le caract\u00e8re qu\u2019ils expriment.<\/p>\r\n<p>L\u2019arrangement de la sonate pour violon a le m\u00e9rite d\u2019exister. Certes, les traits musicaux de la partie de violoncelle ne sont pas exactement caract\u00e9ristiques de l\u2019instrument, mais elle donne \u00e0 entendre un style plus a\u00e9rien, plus virtuose, qui s\u2019ajoute \u00e0 la palette expressive de Mme Weilerstein.<\/p>\r\n<p>La <em>Sonate no 2 en fa majeur<\/em>, derni\u00e8re de l\u2019album, est un bel exemple de dramaturgie musicale. Le piano, plus volubile et plus mordant dans ses attaques, suscite une \u00e9nergie comparable \u00e0 celle d\u00e9ploy\u00e9e ici par le violoncelle.
