Son premier disque, <i>I am Hera<\/i>, donnait d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e0 son choix musical un ton tr\u00e8s personnel. Elle choisit ici de conjuguer l\u2019ancien et le nouveau, des classiques de Rossini, Verdi, Massenet et Delibes aux \u0153uvres de compositeurs contemporains, notamment de la Canadienne Cecilia Livingston.<\/p>\n<p>Enregistr\u00e9 \u00e0 G\u00eanes, en Italie, en compagnie de l\u2019Orchestre et ch\u0153ur du Th\u00e9\u00e2tre Carlo Felice, sous la direction de Jochen Rieder, l\u2019album s\u2019ouvre sur une pi\u00e8ce \u00e9th\u00e9r\u00e9e de Luke Howard. La douceur et le caract\u00e8re planant de la musique font place tout naturellement \u00e0 la beaut\u00e9 et la pl\u00e9nitude vocale dans l\u2019aigu qui mettent l\u2019interpr\u00e8te en valeur. Du deuxi\u00e8me mouvement de la <i>Symphonie des chants plaintifs <\/i>de G\u00f3recki, on passe \u00e0 l\u2019ampleur majestueuse d\u2019<i>In Trutina<\/i> de C. Orff, puis \u00e0 un duo romantique extrait de <i>H\u00e4nsel et Gretel<\/i> avec la mezzo-soprano Emily D\u2019Angelo, \u00e9galement ancienne laur\u00e9ate du CMIM. La transition entre chaque pi\u00e8ce est bien pens\u00e9e et le charme de la voix cristalline de Mme Park op\u00e8re \u00e0 coup s\u00fbr.<\/p>\n<p>Le croisement des deux voix de sopranos dans le mouvement central de <i>Breathe Alone <\/i>de Livingston, une \u0153uvre que la chanteuse a elle-m\u00eame cr\u00e9\u00e9e \u00e0 Carnegie Hall en mars 2023, offre un autre moment de beaut\u00e9. Tout indique qu\u2019il s\u2019agit d\u2019un duo avec elle-m\u00eame, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la magie de l\u2019enregistrement en studio. La seconde partie de l\u2019album para\u00eet plus lyrique, plus dramatique aussi, par le choix des morceaux issus du grand r\u00e9pertoire.
