Il suffit de penser \u00e0 Beethoven, qui n&#8217;a compos\u00e9 qu&#8217;un seul concerto et en a fait une v\u00e9ritable guerre entre le soliste et l&#8217;orchestre. D&#8217;autres compositeurs de l&#8217;\u00e8re romantique en ont pris bonne note et n&#8217;ont jamais tent\u00e9 d&#8217;\u00e9crire un deuxi\u00e8me concerto &#8211; ou, s&#8217;ils l&#8217;ont tent\u00e9, n&#8217;y sont jamais parvenus. Mendelssohn, Brahms, Tcha\u00efkovski, <span class=\"expandableItem\">Dvo\u0159\u00e1k<\/span>, Sibelius, Elgar ont mis tout ce qu&#8217;ils avaient \u00e0 dire dans un concerto pour violon. Le stock de concertos est donc rest\u00e9 r\u00e9duit, et ce n&#8217;est pas faute d&#8217;avoir essay\u00e9. Tous les mois, un violoniste ambitieux tire de l&#8217;oubli une partition perdue, dans l&#8217;espoir d&#8217;augmenter l&#8217;offre.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1057471 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/myscena.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/71XYWdSvAUL._SL1500_-1473169916-e1711916386340.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"268\" height=\"268\" \/>Le Belge Eug\u00e8ne <span class=\"expandableItem\">Ysa\u00ffe<\/span> (1858-1931), violoniste l\u00e9gendaire, a fait deux premi\u00e8res tentatives : un <em>Po\u00e8me<\/em> pour violon et orchestre et un v\u00e9ritable concerto pour violon. Ces deux \u0153uvres ont \u00e9t\u00e9 exhum\u00e9es par le virtuose fran\u00e7ais Philippe Graffin et enregistr\u00e9es avec le Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.<\/p>\n<p>Les r\u00e9sultats sont agr\u00e9ables, mais sans plus. Apr\u00e8s quelques minutes d&#8217;\u00e9num\u00e9ration de th\u00e8mes de Mendelssohn et de Brahms, les \u0153uvres s&#8217;\u00e9garent dans un <em>no man&#8217;s land<\/em> o\u00f9 l&#8217;auditeur ne peut d\u00e9celer ni but ni personnalit\u00e9. Il n&#8217;y a rien qui cloche dans ces partitions, si ce n&#8217;est un manque d&#8217;urgence. Mais lorsqu&#8217;il tenta d&#8217;\u00e9crire un concerto pour violon dans la m\u00eame tonalit\u00e9 de r\u00e9 majeur que Brahms, il tomba t\u00eate premi\u00e8re dans le pi\u00e8ge de l&#8217;imitation. Son argumentation est s\u00e9duisante et le test instrumental consid\u00e9rable. Il y a m\u00eame un air populaire anglais dans le premier mouvement. Mais \u00e0 peine le morceau commence-t-il \u00e0 couler que l&#8217;ombre de Brahms s&#8217;abat sur la main de Busoni qui bat en retraite. Francesca Dego joue magnifiquement pendant 23 minutes, avec l&#8217;Orchestre symphonique de la BBC dirig\u00e9 par Dalia Stasevska.
