CTdA, Jusqu\u2019au 17 f\u00e9vrier <a href=\"https:\/\/theatredaujourdhui.qc.ca\/\">https:\/\/theatredaujourdhui.qc.ca\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s le succ\u00e8s de l\u2019ambitieux <em>Lequel est un Basquiat,<\/em> de\u202fPhilippe Racine (2022), la derni\u00e8re cr\u00e9ation du Centre du Th\u00e9\u00e2tre d\u2019Aujourd\u2019hui renoue avec les arts visuels et l\u2019art performatif, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 Gabrielle Lessard, qui s\u2019est plong\u00e9e dans la biographie de l\u2019artiste f\u00e9ministe Judy Chicago et son univers. L&#8217;autrice et metteuse en sc\u00e8ne\u00a0 s&#8217;est inspir\u00e9e des biographies-manifestes de Judy Chicago. Le texte est d&#8217;ailleurs racont\u00e9 au &#8220;je&#8221; car, conseill\u00e9e par Ana\u00efs Nin, celle-ci avait publi\u00e9 sa premi\u00e8re autobiographie en 1975, avant que d\u2019autres ne le fassent \u00e0 sa place. Ces manifestes ont \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9vidence inspir\u00e9 le texte et la trame de <em>Judy<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Autour de l\u2019artiste elle-m\u00eame (convaincante Louise Laprade) gravitent six personnages. Le programme les pr\u00e9sente comme des personnages influenc\u00e9s par les id\u00e9es de l\u2019artiste mais ces quatre femmes et ces deux hommes semblent plut\u00f4t sortir des ellipses de la vie de la cr\u00e9atrice ou de ses r\u00e9flexions, m\u00ealant souvenirs de jeunesse et amours passionn\u00e9es &#8211; des des aventures passionn\u00e9es et r\u00e9solument formatrices.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1053417\" style=\"width: 712px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1053417\" class=\"size-main-full wp-image-1053417\" src=\"https:\/\/myscena.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Judy-232-WEB_cr_Sylvie-Ann-Pare-1078x516.jpg\" alt=\"No\u00e9mie O'Farrell et Victor Andres Trelles Turgeon dans une sc\u00e8ne de Judy, un spectacle \u00e9crit et mis en sc\u00e8ne par Gabrielle Lessard. Cr\u00e9dit photo : Sylvie-Ann Par\u00e9.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Pour rendre hommage \u00e0 l\u2019artiste f\u00e9ministe et humaniste Judy Chicago, Gabrielle Lessard a particuli\u00e8rement soign\u00e9 l\u2019enveloppe visuelle de sa production. Mention sp\u00e9ciale aux lumi\u00e8res que signe le surdou\u00e9 (et tr\u00e8s occup\u00e9) C\u00e9dric Delorme-Bouchard, accompagn\u00e9 cette fois de Tiffanie Boffa. Le tandem a parfois plac\u00e9 les projecteurs sous les grilles qui donnent acc\u00e8s \u00e0 la sc\u00e8ne, d\u00e9coupant la lumi\u00e8re comme au pochoir et c\u2019est tr\u00e8s r\u00e9ussi.<\/p>\n<p>Les costumes d\u2019Elen Ewing sont charmants et hauts en couleurs, ils aident \u00e0 diff\u00e9rencier les jeunes com\u00e9diennes quand elles prennent la parole, dirigeant le ou la spectatrice vers le bon personnage, comme un s\u00e9maphore po\u00e9tique. L\u2019environnement sonore de Frannie Holder est juste, subtil. La sc\u00e9nographie (\u00c9tienne Ren\u00e9-Contant) s\u2019accorde d\u2019un d\u00e9cor hyper minimaliste efficace, qu\u2019on sent influenc\u00e9 par les principes pr\u00each\u00e9s par d\u2019ecosceno (l\u2019organisme, qui a travaill\u00e9 l\u2019an pass\u00e9 avec le CTdA, pr\u00f4ne la r\u00e9duction de l\u2019impact environnemental des spectacles, tout en gardant ouverts certains concepts, pour les d\u00e9cors et les costumes).<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Judy<\/em><\/strong> rappelle que f\u00e9minisme et humanisme sont des concepts parents; le spectacle s\u2019adresse au c\u0153ur et \u00e0 la t\u00eate. La coh\u00e9rence de la pi\u00e8ce r\u00e9side aussi dans la clart\u00e9 des intentions des interpr\u00e8tes et l\u2019excellente direction de Gabrielle Lessard.
