Il opte pour un refrain de type swing qui passe des graves aux aigus sans pr\u00e9venir, ce qui constitue une excellente d\u00e9monstration de son talent d\u2019improvisateur. Enfin, Jeremy Ledbetter se glisse dans un lent solo de clavier qui gagne en complexit\u00e9. Au sein du quatuor, c\u2019est l\u2019utilisation de la gamme chromatique par Ledbetter qui semble la plus naturelle. Decho intervient avec une basse \u00e9lectrique froide qui souligne \u00e0 quel point il donne le ton g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de la musique. La batterie de Marito Marques est dynamique et fournit un excellent accompagnement rythmique tout au long de l\u2019album. La capacit\u00e9 du musicien \u00e0 occuper le devant de la sc\u00e8ne puis \u00e0 se glisser sans probl\u00e8me dans les r\u00f4les d\u2019accompagnateur t\u00e9moigne de la coop\u00e9ration magistrale du quatuor.<\/p>\n<p>Ce morceau \u00e9tablit un pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent d\u2019innovation et de dynamisme que le Marc Decho Quartet ne manque pas de concr\u00e9tiser. <i>Ancient One<\/i> voit tous les musiciens jouer des percussions \u00e0 diff\u00e9rents moments, ce qui donne lieu \u00e0 des rythmes changeants qui s\u2019alignent sur les lignes de basse syncop\u00e9es et entrelac\u00e9es, sur les puissants traits de saxophone et la retenue des claviers. <i>Slowdive<\/i> a un effet apaisant malgr\u00e9 le son conflictuel de l\u2019ensemble, et <i>Calle 23<\/i> est un morceau de jazz plus traditionnel tout aussi r\u00e9ussi.
