Maute a partag\u00e9 la direction avec le Maestro David Shemer, fondateur de l\u2019OBJ, qui accompagnait l\u2019orchestre au clavecin et \u00e0 l\u2019orgue m\u00e9canique. Accompagn\u00e9e par l\u2019orchestre, la soprano Keren Motseri a habilement fusionn\u00e9 le chant populaire et le chant classique dans son interpr\u00e9tation du po\u00e8me, <em>A Place of Worry<\/em>. \u00ab\u2009Je peux chanter du Vivaldi \u00e0 tout moment\u2009\u00bb, d\u00e9clare Motseri, \u00ab\u2009mais pour moi, cette chanson \u00e9tait le c\u0153ur du concert.\u2009\u00bb Le po\u00e8me parle d\u2019une contr\u00e9e lointaine, emplie de tristesse, d\u2019inqui\u00e9tude et de fleurs sauvages. Dieu veille sur sa cr\u00e9ation avec une inqui\u00e9tude sans fin.<\/p>\r\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9mouvante interpr\u00e9tation des musiciens a plong\u00e9 le public dans une ambiance sombre et introspective, avant que l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re ne change subitement dans <em>In exitu Isra\u00ebl<\/em> et <em>Laudate Dominum<\/em>, deux psaumes festifs de Vivaldi.<\/p>\r\n<p>L\u2019orchestre a pris de l\u2019\u00e9lan lors du c\u00e9l\u00e8bre <em>L\u2019estro armonico<\/em>, men\u00e9 r\u00e9solument par Noam Schuss (1er\u00a0soliste) et Lucie Ringuette (2e\u00a0soliste). La coh\u00e9sion de l\u2019ensemble a \u00e9t\u00e9 renforc\u00e9e par le jeu anim\u00e9 de Susie Napper (1re\u00a0violoncelliste). Cependant, dans l\u2019aria de l\u2019<em>Adagio e spiccato<\/em>, l\u2019orchestre a \u00e9t\u00e9 trop rigide pour permettre \u00e0 Schuss de varier son jeu avec plus de spontan\u00e9it\u00e9 et d\u2019expression.<\/p>\r\n<p>Ceci dit, l\u2019extraordinaire fluidit\u00e9, \u00e9nergie, \u00e9motion et virtuosit\u00e9 des musiciens et des chanteurs des trois ensembles diff\u00e9rents \u00e9taient parfaitement \u00e9quilibr\u00e9es. Ses notes aigu\u00ebs et \u00e9th\u00e9r\u00e9es rappelaient parfois la voix de Cecilia Bartoli, la plus grande diva de la musique baroque. La ma\u00eetrise expressive et technique du motet par Motseri a \u00e9t\u00e9 l\u2019un des moments forts du concert. Dans le <em>Magnificat<\/em>, la soprano canadienne Janelle Lucyk et la mezzo qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise Marie-Andr\u00e9 Mathieu se sont jointes \u00e0 elle, deux collaboratrices qui ont fait valoir leurs talents aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de Motseri. Le timbre de Lucyk s\u2019accordait parfaitement avec l\u2019ensemble et le ch\u0153ur, tout en conservant une clart\u00e9 distincte. Le timbre de Mathieu apportait profondeur, soutien et de la richesse dans les fr\u00e9quences graves.<\/p>\r\n<p>Les solistes instrumentaux se sont d\u00e9marqu\u00e9s dans le <em>Concerto en r\u00e9 mineur<\/em> par la virtuosit\u00e9 de Mme Ringuette (1er violon solo) et de Noam Gal (2e violon solo), la sophistication et la souplesse du jeu de Karim Nasr (1er hautbo\u00efste solo) et d\u2019Amanda Kitik (2e hautbo\u00efste) et la vivacit\u00e9 des fl\u00fbtistes (fl\u00fbtes \u00e0 bec) Sylvie Larivi\u00e8re et Matthias Maute, co-directeurs artistiques de l\u2019Ensemble Caprice. Pour cl\u00f4turer le concert, le ch\u0153ur et les trois solistes vocaux se sont joints \u00e0 l\u2019orchestre pour interpr\u00e9ter le magistral <em>Gloria en r\u00e9 majeur<\/em> de Vivaldi. Tous les membres de l\u2019ensemble ont contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 une performance captivante, \u00e0 la fois concentr\u00e9e et spontan\u00e9e. L\u2019interpr\u00e9tation pr\u00e9sentait les traits caract\u00e9ristiques de la musique baroque en termes de phras\u00e9, d\u2019expression, de timing et d\u2019ornementation.
