Pour c\u00e9l\u00e9brer les 80 ans de Fran\u00e7ois Dompierre, la pianiste nous offre des arrangements de musiques de film et plus encore qui ont fait la r\u00e9putation du compositeur qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois, lui-m\u00eame pianiste. \u00ab La plupart sont des r\u00e9ductions pour piano [\u2026]; d\u2019autres, des adaptations d\u2019improvisations radiophoniques. Quelques-unes enfin ont \u00e9t\u00e9 sp\u00e9cialement \u00e9crites pour elle et lui sont d\u00e9di\u00e9es \u00bb, pr\u00e9cise l\u2019auteur dans le livret de l\u2019album. Parmi ces pi\u00e8ces in\u00e9dites, mentionnons <em>Entre mer et chanterelles<\/em>, \u00e9crite en l\u2019honneur de son ancien professeur d\u2019analyse musicale Gilles Tremblay et enregistr\u00e9e pour la premi\u00e8re fois, ainsi que <em>La beaut\u00e9 du diable<\/em> dans un arrangement pour piano destin\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019interpr\u00e8te.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019album s\u2019ouvre sur un th\u00e8me et variations d\u2019apr\u00e8s la bande originale du film <em>L\u2019\u00e2me \u00e0 la tendresse<\/em>. D\u2019embl\u00e9e, Louise Bessette d\u00e9montre son aisance technique et fait ressortir toute la texture romantique de la composition. <em>Un bonheur d\u2019occasion<\/em> a ceci de particulier qu\u2019il est un duo avec nul autre que le compositeur. Fran\u00e7ois Dompierre improvise librement une m\u00e9lodie dans le registre sup\u00e9rieur, tandis que le jeu de Louise Bessette sert principalement de point d\u2019ancrage par un rythme r\u00e9gl\u00e9 comme une horloge. Avec son charme caract\u00e9ristique, c\u2019est certainement l\u2019une des pi\u00e8ces les plus jazz de l\u2019album. L\u2019autre duo intervient \u00e0 la piste no 4, <em>Le temps qui fuit<\/em>, o\u00f9 le th\u00e8me haend\u00e9lien laisse bient\u00f4t place \u00e0 deux variations quelque peu impr\u00e9gn\u00e9es du style impressionniste d\u2019un Debussy (\u00e0 \u00e9couter justement, quelques pistes plus loin,<br \/>\nl\u2019<em>\u00c9vocation rav\u00e9lienne<\/em>). Ce plaisir de d\u00e9tourner avec d\u00e9lectation la \u00ab grande \u00bb musique, comme certains l\u2019appellent, se retrouve dans <em>Fac\u00e9ties sur un pr\u00e9<\/em><em>lude<\/em> de Bach. L\u2019influence jazz confine ici \u00e0 la musique contemporaine. <em>La Sonatine pour Anna<\/em>, tel un pastiche, demeure dans un style d\u2019inspiration<br \/>\nmozartienne et offre encore une autre facette de l\u2019\u0153uvre de Dompierre.
