En fait, \u00e0 part les Mendelssohn, il n&#8217;y a que Mozart et sa malheureuse s\u0153ur Nannerl. Dans la famille Mendelssohn, Fanny a \u00e9t\u00e9 la premi\u00e8re \u00e0 faire preuve de talent, avant d&#8217;\u00eatre r\u00e9duite au silence par son p\u00e8re lorsque le jeune Felix a fait preuve d&#8217;un g\u00e9nie juv\u00e9nile que beaucoup ont compar\u00e9 \u00e0 celui de Mozart. Les psaumes de Felix, chant\u00e9s par le Ch\u0153ur de la Radio de Leipzig sous la direction de Philipp Ahmann, sont des d\u00e9clamations publiques pour le culte divin. Formels et faciles \u00e0 chanter, ils souffrent de la retenue que ressent une personne pieuse lorsqu&#8217;elle s&#8217;adresse au Cr\u00e9ateur. Mendelssohn cherche \u00e0 impressionner la bourgeoisie adoratrice et y parvient plus ou moins. Mais nulle part, dans cette compilation, ne sent-on l&#8217;\u00e9tincelle d\u2019un F\u00e9lix enflamm\u00e9.<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-1039871\" src=\"https:\/\/myscena.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/FHR148-Digi-cover-border-600-300x265.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/myscena.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/FHR148-Digi-cover-border-600-300x265.jpg 300w, https:\/\/myscena.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/FHR148-Digi-cover-border-600-110x96.jpg 110w, https:\/\/myscena.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/FHR148-Digi-cover-border-600.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/>Les m\u00e9lodies de Fanny sont \u00e9crites pour elle-m\u00eame et pour le salon. La plupart d&#8217;entre elles n&#8217;ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9es que r\u00e9cemment. La moiti\u00e9 des airs pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s ici sont des premiers enregistrements. Sans avoir besoin d&#8217;imposer ou d&#8217;impressionner, les m\u00e9lodies de Fanny ont une patine d\u00e9licate, parfois introspective, toujours d\u2019une expressivit\u00e9 insistante. Cinq d&#8217;entre elles sont intitul\u00e9es <em>Sehnsucht<\/em> (\u00ab\u00a0d\u00e9sir\u00a0\u00bb), expression \u00e9vidente d&#8217;espoirs refoul\u00e9s, soient-ils romantiques ou professionnels.<\/p>\r\n<p>Trois chanteurs anglais &#8211; le t\u00e9nor Tim Parker-Langston et les mezzos Stephanie Wake-Edwards et Jennifer Parker &#8211; les ont enregistr\u00e9s au d\u00e9but de l&#8217;ann\u00e9e dans la Maison Mendelssohn de Leipzig, sur ce qui ressemble \u00e0 un piano d&#8217;\u00e9poque. Le chant est admirable, l&#8217;ambiance exceptionnelle. Mon seul reproche est que la compositrice est d\u00e9sign\u00e9e sur la pochette par son nom de femme mari\u00e9e \u00ab Fanny Hensel \u00bb, plut\u00f4t que Mendelssohn, ou Mendelssohn-Hensel. Fanny, d&#8217;un caract\u00e8re beaucoup plus fort que son fr\u00e8re, commen\u00e7ait tout juste \u00e0 \u00e9prouver la satisfaction de voir ses premi\u00e8res \u0153uvres imprim\u00e9es lorsqu&#8217;elle mourut d&#8217;une attaque c\u00e9r\u00e9brale, \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e2ge de 42 ans.
