Une bonne chose, n&#8217;est-ce pas ? Cela d\u00e9pend de l&#8217;\u0153uvre.<\/p>&#13;\n<p>Les quatre morceaux pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s ici ne sont pas tant un m\u00e9li-m\u00e9lo qu&#8217;un \u00e9talage de Walmart assembl\u00e9 par l&#8217;intelligence artificielle. Le troisi\u00e8me concerto pour piano de Philip Glass oscille entre la pu\u00e9rilit\u00e9 des comptines et la musique d\u2019ascenseur. J&#8217;ai l&#8217;esprit ouvert en ce qui concerne Glass, mais il s&#8217;agit de l&#8217;\u0153uvre la plus triviale qu&#8217;il m&#8217;ait \u00e9t\u00e9 donn\u00e9 d&#8217;entendre depuis des ann\u00e9es. Son troisi\u00e8me mouvement est d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 son coll\u00e8gue minimaliste Arvo P\u00e4rt, qui a le droit de se sentir insult\u00e9 par sa vacuit\u00e9. Men\u00e9 par les solistes Daniel Hope et Alexey Botvinov, il m\u00eale des rythmes propulsifs \u00e0 des longueurs m\u00e9ditatives, mais pas de mani\u00e8re totalement fastidieuse. Le final est agr\u00e9ablement trompeur, passant d&#8217;une torpeur bucolique \u00e0 des tensions chinoises.<\/p>\n<p>Mark-Anthony Turnage, qui est incapable d&#8217;\u00e9crire une phrase ennuyeuse, a \u00e9crit une complainte pour violon et orchestre \u00e0 cordes de 13 minutes qui \u00e9quivaut \u00e0 un requiem pour tout ce que nous avons perdu dans la course vers la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 virtuelle. \u00c0 mes oreilles, c&#8217;est un refuge contre le monde des lemmings, avec des solos exquis pour Daniel Hope.<\/p>\n<p>La quatri\u00e8me pi\u00e8ce est une ouverture n\u00e9oclassique de Jake Heggie. Heggie n&#8217;est cependant pas Stravinski. L&#8217;ouverture est une perte s\u00e8che.
