Rachmaninov fit les coupures sugg\u00e9r\u00e9es sans modifier le reste de l\u2019\u0153uvre. Cette version remani\u00e9e est la plus connue, bien qu\u2019elle soit moins populaire que sa <\/span><span style=\"color: #272525;\"><i>Sonate pour piano n\u00b0&nbsp;2 en si b\u00e9mol majeur<\/i><\/span><span style=\"color: #272525;\">. Geniu\u0161as esp\u00e8re changer cela et voit ses pr\u00e9sentations de l\u2019\u0153uvre cette ann\u00e9e \u2013 \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al, Milan, Paris ainsi qu\u2019\u00e0 la r\u00e9sidence de Rachmaninov en Suisse, Villa Senar \u2013 comme une \u00ab&nbsp;offrande musicale&nbsp;\u00bb \u00e0 l\u2019occasion du 150e<\/span><b> <\/b><span style=\"color: #272525;\">anniversaire de la naissance du compositeur.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #272525;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">La discographie de Geniu\u0161as comprend des \u0153uvres de Beethoven, Brahms, Ravel, Chopin, Stravinski et Chostakovitch ainsi que l\u2019int\u00e9grale des pr\u00e9ludes de Rachmaninov. Il a jou\u00e9 sous la direction de chefs r\u00e9put\u00e9s (Esa-Pekka Salonen, Rafael Payare et Tugan Sokhiev, entre autres), avec de grands orchestres (dont l\u2019Orchestre de Paris, le Philadelphia Orchestra et le City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra) et il a interpr\u00e9t\u00e9 et enregistr\u00e9 de la musique de chambre avec le violoniste Aylen Pritchin et le violoncelliste Alexander Bouzlov.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #272525;\">L\u2019ann\u00e9e sera charg\u00e9e pour le pianiste russo-lituanien de 32 ans. Il fera avec la soprano Asmik Grigorian une tourn\u00e9e de promotion de <\/span><span style=\"color: #272525;\"><i>Dissonance<\/i><\/span><b> <\/b><span style=\"color: #272525;\">(Alpha Classics), leur album de 19 m\u00e9lodies de Rachmaninov paru en 2022. Des arr\u00eats sont pr\u00e9vus \u00e0 Vienne, Z\u00fcrich, Dortmund, Paris, au Festival d\u2019Aix-en-Provence et au Festival de Salzbourg. \u00ab&nbsp;Le partage d\u2019un espace musical, \u00e0 un certain moment, est extr\u00eamement enrichissant, affinant et faisant avancer la pens\u00e9e musicale&nbsp;\u00bb, dit-il.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #272525;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">La valeur d\u2019un tel int\u00e9r\u00eat s\u2019est cependant av\u00e9r\u00e9e difficile \u00e0 soutenir en raison de l\u2019invasion de l\u2019Ukraine par la Russie. En cons\u00e9quence, le pianiste, qui a re\u00e7u sa formation \u00e0 Moscou, mais vit en Lituanie avec sa femme, la pianiste Anna Geniushene, se pose des questions aussi ardues qu\u2019importantes. \u00ab&nbsp;La pens\u00e9e avec laquelle nous sommes constamment aux prises maintenant est&nbsp;: \u201cQuelle est la pertinence de ce que nous faisons dans la vie moderne&nbsp;? Dans la situation actuelle&nbsp;? Dans la r\u00e9gion o\u00f9 nous vivons&nbsp;?\u201d Ce sont des questions graves, p\u00e9nibles pour nous.
