Le jeu du pianiste \u00e9tait souvent consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme plus m\u00e9morable en concert, comme en t\u00e9moignent \u00a0ces \u00a0prestations \u00a0radiodiffus\u00e9es, magistrales. Nous avons un premier concerto superbe, quoique parfois pompeux, avec Szell \u00e0 la direction de l\u2019Orchestre philharmonique de New York (1963), un quatri\u00e8me concerto magistral \u00a0sous \u00a0la \u00a0baguette \u00a0de \u00a0Klemperer dirigeant l\u2019Orchestre symphonique de la Radio de Cologne (1956), un deuxi\u00e8me concerto dynamique avec le m\u00eame orchestre dirig\u00e9 par Hans Rosbaud (1957) et un troisi\u00e8me concerto, \u00e0 l\u2019acoustique s\u00e8che, avec Frederic Waldman \u00e0 la t\u00eate de l\u2019orchestre de chambre Musica Aeterna (1964), remarquable par sa puissance. D\u00e9tail saisissant, Fleisher joue le deuxi\u00e8me concerto dans un style d\u00e9tach\u00e9 qui rappelle le jeu de Glenn Gould.<\/p>\n<p>Fleisher n\u2019a pas jou\u00e9 beaucoup de musique contemporaine, \u00e0 l\u2019exception des \u0153uvres sp\u00e9cialement \u00e9crites pour lui lorsqu\u2019il perdit l\u2019usage de sa main droite. Heureuse nouvelle, ce coffret contient le <em>Concerto pour piano no 2 <\/em>du compositeur am\u00e9ricain Leon Kirchner (1919-2009).
