En 2016, il avait sorti un album de \u00ab\u00a0moments baroques\u00a0\u00bb au piano moderne. Cette fois, il choisit de jouer des sonates c\u00e9l\u00e8bres de Mozart ainsi que la <i>Fantaisie en r\u00e9 mineur<\/i> tout aussi r\u00e9put\u00e9e au pianoforte. Si ces \u0153uvres ont r\u00e9sist\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9preuve du temps, c\u2019est certainement gr\u00e2ce au g\u00e9nie du jeune prodige. Ne serait-ce que par le r\u00e9pertoire, on est d\u00e9j\u00e0 conquis. L\u2019originalit\u00e9 de l\u2019album vient de l\u2019instrument, contemporain de l\u2019\u00e9poque de Mozart, mais rarement utilis\u00e9 de nos jours.<\/p>\n<p>Fid\u00e8le \u00e0 la p\u00e9riode dite classique, Luc Beaus\u00e9jour ne se laisse pas emporter par des \u00e9lans romantiques. Il faut dire qu\u2019\u00e0 mi-chemin entre le clavecin et le piano, la sonorit\u00e9 plus s\u00e8che du pianoforte ne permet pas de tels \u00e9panchements. Cela dit, dans la <i>Sonate no 11<\/i> \u00ab\u00a0Alla Turca\u00a0\u00bb, on aurait aim\u00e9 que Beaus\u00e9jour varie davantage son interpr\u00e9tation au moment de r\u00e9p\u00e9ter tel ou tel motif. Dans la <i>Sonate no 13<\/i>, d\u00e9j\u00e0 annonciatrice du style beethov\u00e9nien \u00e0 venir, le pianiste parvient \u00e0 produire de meilleurs contrastes.<\/p>\n<p>Les subtilit\u00e9s du jeu pianistique auraient \u00e9t\u00e9 mieux servies par une captation au plus pr\u00e8s de l\u2019instrument. Or, les sonorit\u00e9s du pianoforte semblent venir d\u2019assez loin.
