On sent que Nathaniel Watson conna\u00eet tr\u00e8s bien le <i>Winterreise <\/i>et c\u2019est un r\u00e9el plaisir de le red\u00e9couvrir gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 lui. De plus, la partition de piano est bien mise en valeur par la captation de Leaf Music. Michael McMahon est un fin connaisseur de ce r\u00e9pertoire et cela s\u2019entend. Les subtilit\u00e9s de son jeu, sa douceur autant que ses emportements dramatiques sont \u00e0 saluer.<\/p>\n<p>Malheureusement, la voix du baryton manque de fra\u00eecheur. Son vibrato est souvent trop appuy\u00e9, ce qui lui donne une certaine lourdeur. Par ailleurs, dans les passages plus rapides qui n\u00e9cessitent de la virtuosit\u00e9, on peut regretter que les notes ne soient pas assez bien articul\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est la premi\u00e8re fois que l\u2019on observe cela sur un enregistrement de la sorte, mais d\u00e8s la premi\u00e8re pi\u00e8ce, on entend distinctement une tourne de page.
