Il s\u2019agit bien s\u00fbr de Carmen, celle-ci qui est n\u00e9e libre et vivra libre jusqu\u2019\u00e0 sa mort. Ce personnage f\u00e9minin, devenue iconique, \u00e9tait incarn\u00e9 ici par Julie Nesrallah. La mezzo-soprano canadienne avait non seulement la voix, mais le physique de l\u2019emploi.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Certes, elle n\u2019est pas apparue aussi flamboyante vocalement que Suzanne Taffot (Mica\u00ebla) et Hugo Laporte (Escamillo), mais parmi tous les membres de la distribution, c\u2019est elle qui offrait le meilleur \u00e9quilibre entre qualit\u00e9s vocales et interpr\u00e9tation. Julie Nesrallah a v\u00e9ritablement habit\u00e9 son r\u00f4le, misant sur son exp\u00e9rience de chanteuse et son aisance sur sc\u00e8ne pour faire ressortir tout le charme de la boh\u00e9mienne.<\/p>\r\n<div id=\"attachment_1005524\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/myscena.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Suzanne-Taffot-1-\u00a9-Brent-Calis-Photography-scaled-e1647197213494.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1005524\" class=\"wp-image-1005524 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/myscena.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Suzanne-Taffot-1-\u00a9-Brent-Calis-Photography-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1005524\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Brent Callis<\/p><\/div>\r\n<p>\u00c0 ses c\u00f4t\u00e9s, la soprano d\u2019origine camerounaise et le baryton qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois ont vol\u00e9 la vedette en termes de prestation vocale. Toutefois, le lyrisme conqu\u00e9rant de Suzanne Taffot n\u2019avait pas grand-chose \u00e0 voir avec son personnage d\u2019habitude si timide et r\u00e9serv\u00e9. Hugo Laporte, lui, avait une facilit\u00e9 insolente \u00e0 chanter Escamillo, un r\u00f4le pourtant r\u00e9put\u00e9 pour sa difficult\u00e9 et son large registre vocal, mais il manquait \u00e0 l\u2019interpr\u00e8te le langage corporel et le temp\u00e9rament de s\u00e9ducteur du Tor\u00e9ador.<\/p>\r\n<p>Enfin, Ernesto Ramirez a bien tenu le r\u00f4le Don Jos\u00e9, gr\u00e2ce notamment \u00e0 son endurance vocale. Apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 poignard\u00e9e par Don Jos\u00e9, Carmen s\u2019est redress\u00e9e sur son fauteuil et a brandi la carte de la mort qu\u2019elle avait \u00e9t\u00e9 acquise \u00e0 l\u2019acte 3. Bien que son destin ait \u00e9t\u00e9 de mourir aux mains d\u2019un homme, l\u2019esprit de Carmen et sa volont\u00e9 de ne rien c\u00e9der continuent de vivre.<\/p>\r\n<blockquote>\r\n<p><em>Carmen <\/em>de Bizet.
