Celui-ci pr\u00e9sente les deux num\u00e9ros de l\u2019Opus 1 du compositeur canadien d\u2019origine colombienne Felipe T\u00e9llez, interpr\u00e9t\u00e9s par le TakeFive Ensemble. C\u2019est l\u00e0 l\u2019apog\u00e9e d\u2019une s\u00e9rie d&#8217;\u0153uvres \u00e9crites entre 2017 et 2020, peut-on lire dans les notes discographiques. D&#8217;embl\u00e9e, il faut saluer la pr\u00e9sence d&#8217;un livret d\u00e9taill\u00e9 qui fait encore plus appr\u00e9cier ces nouvelles cr\u00e9ations.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Auteur de musiques de films, M. T\u00e9llez compose ici des pi\u00e8ces dont on sent bien qu\u2019elles auraient pu \u00eatre \u00e9crites pour le cin\u00e9ma. La premi\u00e8re, intitul\u00e9e <i>Fate <\/i>(Destin) est marqu\u00e9e par un certain lyrisme. D\u00e8s le premier mouvement <i>andante moderato<\/i>, elle provoque un effet d\u2019entra\u00eenement, un grand souffle, avec notamment l\u2019entr\u00e9e triomphante de Shoshana Telner au piano.<\/p>\r\n<p>Dans le deuxi\u00e8me mouvement, accompagn\u00e9 de l\u2019indication <i>affetuoso<\/i>, ce sont plut\u00f4t l\u2019humour et les traits moqueurs qui pr\u00e9dominent. Le compositeur fait beaucoup de d\u00e9tours harmoniques, empruntant aux musiques modale et tonale<i>, <\/i>mais au terme de ce long parcours, on arrive bel et bien \u00e0 un sentiment satisfaisant de r\u00e9solution. Ainsi, les musiciens qui forment ce quintette de haut calibre jouent un r\u00e9pertoire contemporain qui demeure accessible \u00e0 tous.<\/p>\r\n<p>L\u2019album est plut\u00f4t court (\u00e0 peine une trentaine de minutes seulement) et malgr\u00e9 le fait qu\u2019il y ait deux num\u00e9ros s\u00e9par\u00e9s, on entend surtout une seule et m\u00eame \u0153uvre homog\u00e8ne. L\u2019expressivit\u00e9 et le caract\u00e8re festif des <i>Chansons colombiennes <\/i>rappelle le <i>Destin<\/i>.
