Rachelle Shubert has sung professionally for over thirty years, performing jazz, classical, folk and original compositions. For fifteen years Rachelle was Music Director and Cantorial Soloist for a Montreal synagogue, where she became known for her warm musical style and innovative programming. In 1999 she founded Kol HaNeshama, a vibrant Montreal choir that she directed until leaving the city in 2014. Rachelle’s gave her Sing for Health workshop as part of last year’s SSM and continues to encourage singing as a means to connect with our inner selves and build community. Her recording, For All These Things, Contemporary and Traditional Judaic Songs, (available on all streaming platforms) has delighted countless listeners.
Paul Shilton has composed music for six productions at the Stratford Festival and, under the current circumstances, will have to wait another year to celebrate his seventh production as composer for All’s Well That End’s Well at the new Tom Patterson Theatre. Paul is a member of Larry’s Jazz Guys and has music directed the last two PAL benefits on the Stratford Festival Stage. In addition to a private teaching studio, he is the Vocal Ensemble instructor for the Fanshawe College theatre program in London as well as choir director at Zion Lutheran Church in Stratford.
