Established in 2007 by internationally acclaimed Canadian tenor, Richard Margison, and former Metropolitan Opera stage director, Valerie Kuinka, the Highlands Opera Studio is an advanced intensive professional training program for emerging opera professionals. Chosen through competitive audition from applicants across Canada and internationally, Highlands Opera Studio takes place for 5-6 weeks in August, in the Central Ontario town of Haliburton.
