The Schumann Quartett made its Toronto debut on this series is April, 2018 and we wanted to hear them again. The three brothers Mark, Erik and Ken Schumann were joined in 2012 by violist Liisa Randalu. Study with the Alban Berg Quartet, a residency at the Robert-Schumann-Saal in Düsseldorf, winning many awards, acclaimed CDs – it all adds up to an exciting young European quartet. The Schumanns won the Newcomer Award for 2016 of the BBC Music Magazine – and began their 3-year residency at the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Centre.
