Born in 1925 in the Little Burgundy district of Montreal, Oscar Peterson remains one of the most remarkable jazz piano masters. He was a stellar accompanist who backed jazz vocal greats like Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday while also recording many albums for the famous Verve record label. His talents far exceeded his local turf. The Rémi Bolduc Jazz Ensemble pays him a rousing tribute.
