To celebrate Astor Piazzolla’s 100th birthday. Juan Sebastián Delgado on cello, Louise Bessette on piano and Adrien Belugou on narration offer the concert Ne le dis surtout pas à Piazzolla, Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 7:30 p.m., at the Chapelle historique du Bon-Pasteur.

Neither tango, nor jazz, nor classical, what genre can really define the music of Piazzolla? Who is this curious character and why his music had such a strong impact across the world? Ne le dis surtout pas à Piazzolla is a narrated concert that brings a new perspective and approach to the music and life of Piazzolla.

To better understand the musical universe of Piazzolla, the artists present original works and new arrangements of different music hat influenced and guided this revolutionary artist: those who marked him since childhood like Bach, Gershwin and Stravinsky; the great mentors who influenced his writing, Alberto Ginastera and Nadia Boulanger; the nostalgic tangos that mark the starting point of his own tango writing, like Julio De Caro, Anibal Troilo and Carlos Gardel.
