The Miró Quartet won 2 major competitions, the Banff and the Naumberg, and has built an enduring career. Since 2003, the Miró has served as quartet-in-residence at the Butler School of Music at the University of Texas, Austin.

To celebrate Beethoven’s 250th year and their own 25th in 20-21, the Miró recreated programmes from the past. January 9, 2020, we heard Program 1 of the Archive Project, a programme from 1910 played originally by the Kneisel Quartet. We liked that first one so much, we immediately invited them back to play the second. Then COVID-19 intervened.

For this concert, their fifth for us, the Miró will decide on the plane what they will play and tell us from the stage. Surprise!

Event Artists

Daniel Ching, violin; William Fedkenheuer, second violin; John Largess, viola; Joshua Gindele, cello.
