Music Mondays-Celebrating J.S. Bach, Piano & Organ

0

Anastasia Rizikov first performed for Music Mondays at the young age of 13! This summer she returns as a seasoned 21 year-old, during which time her concert schedules have taken her all over Europe – Spain, Italy, Switzerland, France, Poland, Ukraine, Russia – the United States, and Canada, where she has played in such prestigious halls as Carnegie Hall, Roy Thomson Hall, Koerner Hall, Auditorio Manuel de Falla, and the Kremlin. She will be joined by celebrated organist Xaver Varnus, described as the Glenn Gould of the organ who has played virtually every important organ in the world, including those in Bach’s Thomaskirche in Leipzig, Notre Dame, Saint-Sulpice and Saint-Eustache in Paris, and the Moscow Conservatory, as well as the largest existing instrument in the world, the Wanamaker Grand Court Organ in Philadelphia. Featuring an all-Bach program, pianist Anastasia Rizikov and organist Xaver Varnus will share the stage to play a unique Piano-Organ arrangement of the D minor Chaconne, as well as solo masterpieces of one of the greatest composers of all time. Don’t miss this legendary duo in concert at Music Mondays!
